Having eternal life as a Mormon is different from a Catholic having eternal life in their faith, so I wonder how that is. If links could be provided, I’d appreciate that. I have endless questions about the Catholic church that I can’t ask all at once!

When we die we either go straight to heaven (not many) purgatory (more) or hell if we have chosen to reject God and his mercy with full knowledge and not repented of our sins. So heaven is eternity with God which is what we were created for

As mentioned on your other thread, I’d suggest reading the Catechism for these very basic questions about the faith. Also look into “beginners” books on the Catholic faith such as Catholicism for Dummies. There are often lists of such books on these forums.

Maybe also seek out books or articles on Mormonism and Catholicism. Perhaps others can suggest some. Here’s a piece on a conversion from the Coming Home network that may be of interest. If you scroll down it, you’ll note that the author recommends a book called Inside Mormonism, by Isaiah Bennett:

Mormon’s follow ‘prophecies’ by a man.

Catholics follow Jesus teachings in the bible, and church tradition handed from the apostles to the Early Church Fathers.

————-

Mormon’s believe Jesus and satan were brothers.
This is not in the bible and is heresy.
Jesus is the Second Person of the Trinity, and satan is a fallen angel, according to the Bible.

——-
Mormon’s believe that God was a human being, who lived a good life and at death became God of His own planet.

The bible does not say this. The bible says: ‘in the beginning was the Word and the word was with God. Through Him ALL things were made.’

———
Mormon’s believe that at death they become gods of their own planets if they lived a good life.

This is not in the Bible. The bible says at death our soul goes to Judgement before Jesus, and we are assigned Heaven or Hell. That at the End of Time Jesus will resurrect our bodies and bring a New Heaven down to Earth, where God will live with His people forever. Where people will live forever, no more pain, no more sickness, no more old age, no more death, no more night, a world with perfect happiness and joy, streets of gold, walls of crystal, gates of pearl, with no more need for the sun as the light from God will light up the world. It is all there in the Book of Revelation.

In a nutshell, by grace we come to share in God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:4), we come to see God face to face (Beatific Vision) for eternity.

Thank you for asking. I would first refer you to Ephesians 2:1-10. If you would like to discuss privately, feel free to msg me. It can be confusing to have a deep conversation in forum.
