Some “answers” to life’s questions are not specifically in Scripture (such as where do you want me to work, God? or what vocation do you want for me) but the answer can be found there to some extent anyway. For instance, if your vocation is marriage, you can read the passages about marriage, about relationships, about adultery, etc.
I thought i was supposed to do this one thing God seemed to be telling me to do. But at every turn, things went haywire… :hypno: I had to remind myself of certain scriptures, particularly the one about how if your right eye offends you pluck it out. My vocation was becoming my “right eye” in the sense that its fulfillment became my all, a god.

uch: :doh2:
Then i also had to remind myself that we are to pick up our crosses & carry them, so just being “in pain” of one kind or another does not necessarily mean that what I did in supposed obedience (?) was not, after all, from God.
When people say such things as “God would not allow you to go through that…” well, it sounds odd, as if the person doesn’t believe one should ever have to suffer. My own sufferings help me to understand why the Son of God himself had to suffer. Doing the right thing always involves suffering… I wish i had known that yrs ago…
I am running out of time but
am wondering if this helps any??
