How does the saint do intersession

How do the saints come down from heaven to help someone with a task. sure I could understand the problem they would solve if there life had an orientation towards the matter. but how can they come down from Heaven?
 
The Holy Spirit does the acting; the saints do the pestering for graces.

They live in heaven.
They see and know God.
They ask on your behalf and pray fro a good outcome.
God does all the work, or decides on something better for you.
