you’r right, but it’s possible that someone has to be called by God by an personal commitment rather that an official consecration. After, free to God to know that if that personal commitment is in fact a real consecration, because at the end it’s God himself who consacres who he want, when he want, and how he want it.I believe part of the confusion is because there is loose meaning when some people equate the devotional affectation of “consecration” to the Sacred Heart with vocational consecration. Obviously vocational consecration has to do with a real change, not a self-dedication.

At the beginning of Christianity to be pope, bishop, consecrated etc, meant to be the first candidate to be devoured by wild beasts, the first candidate to suffer and die as a martyr.
But today, in my country, priests, religious and other consacrated person, have a good social status, even if they are not rich, they are not poor either and many poor people may well wish to be in their situation.
So, i find that, the official consacreted life in that context doesn’t no longer necessarily a proper way to reach effectively the christian perfection life.
