There are many people who travel many miles and hours to attend an EF (Traditional Latin Mass). I travel 1 hour each way and I know of a family that attends my chapel that travels 2+ hours each way. The question came up in another thread that if the situation were reversed, if the EF were celebrated everywhere (obviously the name would change) and the OF (Novus Ordo) rare, how many people would travel long distances to attend the OF?
Please do not read this as an OF vs. EF thread (and please do not turn it into one). Actually, I see this as a pro-OF thread as it will allow people to state the reasons why they would attend an OF if time and travel were difficulties.
Let’s assume that there is a Traditional Latin Mass 10 minutes from your house. How far would you travel to attend the Ordinary Form of Mass and why?
