How frequently do you read the Bible?

Hello all,

I have a quick question: How often, and for how long in one session, do you read the Bible?

Every day, for the most part, using the daily readings.
If someone references a bible verse during a homily/sermon/talk, I try to follow along
 
Every morning, usually 4:30-5:30…start with the daily readings and usually wander off to other scripture.
 
Every day. I usually read ten chapters a day. I’m reading through it from cover to cover for the second time. I’m currently in the book of Exodus.
 
Mass readings every day. An additional couple of chapters about three times a week. I do other types of prayer on other days, that’s why it’s only 3 times a week.
 
No where near enough unfortunately.

I’m just getting back into it. I usually read the daily mass readings but I’m going through the Bible from the beginning and reading it through for the first time since I was a teenager and the first time as a catholic. It’s different to read the Bible with ‘catholic eyes’, you see things you never saw before, especially the prefiguring of the sacraments.
 
From the Bible itself? I need to get back into it- though I do get some Scripture readings and psalms from Christian Prayer and a little red Jesuit prayer book.
 
I find that the great importance of reading the Bible that the Church seems to have adopted is another “Protestantization” of the Church.
Because de facto, the millions of illiterates are then disadvantaged for the salvation. Already they are disadvantaged in the “world”, if in addition they are disadvantaged for salvation, it would be a double injustice, and it is incompatible with the mode of action of God, because ordinarily it is those who are marginalized in the “world” who have the most favor of God.
 
A couple times a month. I read it for about 15 minutes before bed for a couple days then I either forget to read it or am too tired to read it for the rest of the month.
 
LOTH and daily Mass readings. Also, I have The Word of Promise on my phone, and I listen to that for 20-25 minutes every night after I turn the light out.

Interesting point. I remember my days as an independent Baptists, reading the Bible daily was seen almost as an article of faith, one could say it’s the “protestant sacrament”.

I think reading the Bible is a very good thing to do, it’s beneficial for us, but not required or essential.

You make a great point that for most of church history the vast majority of Christians couldn’t read, they had to hear the scriptures and learn the faith in the liturgy and in the images they saw at church.
 
Quite infrequently. Usually just to check out a verse I’ve heard about etc…
 
Some scripture every day. But I need to develop a system or plan. It’s on my bucket list to read the whole bible cover to cover at least once.
 
Everyday but in little bits. A few verses in the evening. A few psalms in the Office at the various points of the day and usually attend daily mass, though of course it’s read to me then so not sure that counts.
 
I try to read my Bible every day. I like reading one chapter from the Old and one chapter frm the New.
 
Not counting daily Mass, I’d say most days but not every one as I prefer to read in the evenings but sometimes get busy. Days I do read I usually do so for about a half hour, often more on weekends.
