Firstly, [SIGN1]Eric Bock IS NOT A CATHOLIC PRIEST.[/SIGN1]
I repeat: Eric Bock is not a Catholic Priest.
I just saw the debate I had to shut it off, it did not protray the correct Catholic faith and Understanding of Jesus full humanity and full divinity from both Scripture and Apostolic Traditional teachings.
The heresy of Arianism as one poster introduced, predates the invention of Islam. Christianity had already defeated Arianism long before Muhammad was ever born to invent Islam. Islam repeats the Arian heresy of denying Jesus divinity and Mary as Mother of God “Theotokos”, and it appears to carry with their understanding Protestant views of Catholicism.
The debate from “Bock” is a protestant view not a Catholic view.
Those who close their minds to God’s Truth made reality and revelation from Jesus Christ, brings the prophecies to fulfillment;
Mathew 13; 10 … "Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted. 13 … because ‘they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand.’ 14 Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says: ‘You shall indeed hear but not understand you shall indeed look but never see. 15 Gross is the heart of this people, they will hardly hear with their ears, they have closed their eyes, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and be converted, and I heal them.’ 16 "But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. 17 Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
Only God can raise the dead, Only God can forgive sins, Only God can command the wind, the ocean waves, the storms, Only God can bring sight to a man born blind, and hearing to the deaf, Only God can heal the sick and excorcise demons from man at the whisper of his Word, Only God can heal from a distant on the faith of another… These things Jesus did, and more including dieing, raising from the dead, and ascended into heaven.
John 18:26
Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”
27
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe.”
28
17** Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” **
If God can reveal himself from a burning bush, a Rock in the desert, Smoke in a tent, Fire by night in the desert, in the Whisper of the wind, how hard is it to have faith “that God so loved the World that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life” (John 3:16)
John 1:1
1 2** In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. **
2
He was in the beginning with God.
3
3 All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be
4
through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race;
5
4 the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
14
**And the Word became flesh **9 and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.
The “IAM” Exodus 3:13
“But,” said Moses to God, “when I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ if they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what am I to tell them?”
14
6 **God replied, “I am who am.”
Then he added, "This is what you shall tell the Israelites: I AM sent me to you." **
52
(So) the Jews said to him, “Now we are sure that you are possessed. Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.’
53
Are you greater than our father Abraham, 21 who died? Or the prophets, who died? Who do you make yourself out to be?”
54
Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing; but it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’
55
You do not know him, but I know him. And if I should say that I do not know him, I would be like you a liar. But I do know him and I keep his word.
56
Abraham your father rejoiced to see my day; he saw it 22 and was glad.
57
So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old and you have seen Abraham?” 23
58
24 **Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM.” **
59
**So they picked up stones to throw at him; **but Jesus hid and went out of the temple area.
