Ever since I came home to the Catholic Church, my life has improved 100 fold. i never knew how to appreciate what Jesus gave us when I was younger. My spiritual life has been blessed beyond imagination.

I never had any real knowledge of Christ or His Church growing up, even though I attended Mass sporadically and went to a Catholic school when I was young.

Sure, I knew some of the church’s teachings, but I never actually understood what it meant to be a Catholic, nor did i ever understand the sacraments or the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Since i came back a few years ago, my life has completely changed. It truly is wonderful to know and understand our faith. It has been rewarding beyond measure!

The possibility of me having a heart-attack is less. 😃
I seemed to worry about many things - having faith in God helps a lot - I am not completely worry-free for my faith is smaller than a peck of dust.

I have less fears and anxiety, and I feel much closer to Jesus and His Church than I ever have in my life.

I am so glad to hear about your renewel of faith. Praise God!

Blessings

I was caught up with my own answer and forgot to say how happy I was to see TraditionalCath’s faith and trust in God. 😊

Thanks! I don’t know who the artist of the picture is, but I googled for something and found it.

Do you have the book of Saint Faustina’s diary? It is a very wonderful book.

is that saint rita or the Divine Mercy? or is that Margaret Mary Alocoque? i just bought that book, but in the mean time, my sister lent me her copy:)

I feel like I have a purpose. I am blessed to have had a great, comfortable life so far, but now I actually have a reason for wanting to be the best person I can. It feels great, plus I am never lonely :).

👍

It has made me a better person, son, husband, father, cantor, choir member, trumpet player, den leader, Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, and employee. It sustained me when our son went through cancer treatments last year. I was indeed a wreck - but I was and am never alone.

It’s helped me out of two addictions (sexual in nature) and has helped me manage my depression (along with a good doctor! 👍). It’s helped me to realize there’s more to life than just me, and that I’m never alone or cast aside – I always have Jesus.

It has caused me to be deprived of sex for almost 13 years… 😦
It has caused me the loss of friends:(
It has caused me the loss of family members’ friendships:(
It has caused people to think I’m nuts (which i am 😃 ).

That first one is the worst of all… haven’t gotten over it… 😦
But anyway…
Other than that, being Catholic has been wonderful… 🤷😃
