How has your faith helped you and your loved ones?

Hello and welcome!
I don’t have a lot of time right now to elaborate, but the first thing that jumps into my mind from reading the thread question is that my faith helped bring some of my loved ones into existence. I have a large family.

Since you also asked about and mentioned community, a large family in itself forms a sort of small community. Additionally my children often know (or hear about) each other’s friends, contributing the sense of community with those outside our family.

The Catholic faith certainly doesn’t require people to have large families, but my family size relates directly to the Catholic Church’s moral teaching. Outside of those teachings, studies show that people who practice a religion (not just Catholic but other faiths too) have more children on average than people who don’t practice any religion.

I’m out of time. I’d love to say more and bring up other areas too, but I started with my children because they came to my mind first. I love my children–and I’m glad they exist.:curtsey:

The biggest change that can see in my life’s walk with Christ is a deep joy. I do everything with love-even the smallest chore has a joy then. It sounds like The Hound of Heaven may be after you-how blessed you are. Seek out the truth “and ye shall find!”.

Softening bad attitudes and developing generous, loving ones to a point where I catch myself actually finding it hard to adapt to the changed reality.

It gives strength & endurance & hope, and most importantly - an illogical joy & love. God is strong & when all the roads of the world lead to a dead end, His continues.

Hey again everyone!

Thanks for all of your replies.

I have been intrigued to learn more so have recently purchased the book "The Peoples History of Christianity by Diana Butler Bass.

I’m hoping this will be an interesting read! I have recently been having friendly discussions with someone who is catholic in my work place and it has been quite enlightening!

Thanks again for taking the time to reply!
