Hello all. 3 months ago I put together this video of 28 of the most commonly used Gregorian Chants for the Traditional Latin Mass and Catholic devotions like Benediction, Marian and Eucharistic processions. It has subtitles in Latin and English to help you understand both.

I had pretty much zero knowledge of Latin or Gregorian Chants two weeks before I made this video but now I can walk into churches and have a considerable understanding of the Latin written on church walls and used in church life. It has helped me learn how to say (or even chant) the Holy Rosary in Latin and to learn what the main chants of the Latin Mass are, many of which are still sometimes used in the Novus Ordo Mass.

I can’t really find another video like this on the Internet and to be honest I am not sure why no-one else has made it as it has helped me immeasurably.

I hope it can help you too. Any comments you might have would be appreciated. Thanks and God bless.

Just join a choir and there ya go. I learned the entire Ordinary of the Mass, Hail Mary, Our Father, and a fair few psalms in Latin in my public school! Let’s hear it for music ed! 👍

I’ve been trying to do this, too. I memorized the Our Father, the Gloria Patri, the prayer to Saint Michael, and also the Nicene Creed, but strangely enough I can only do the latterit if I sing to it, not just spoken. I’ve been trying to memorize the Ave Maria, and my really long-term project is the Dies Irae (just because I love it). I try to have the text at work with me (since I can wear headphones and listen to music) and try to memorize it as I listen to it.

Great work! 👍

I’ll have to set some time aside to watch this carefully.
