How important are the sacraments to you?

For people who go to Mass every day I’d say very important. Guess I am mainly referring to the Eucharist and Reconciliation.
Can a catholic expect to receive enough grace if he only goes to Mass once a week?

Reconcilliation is of paramount importance to every single person. We reconcile with God,
. We say yes to God.

What can be more important then the Eucharist. It is the Body, Blood , Soul and Divinity of God the Son.

It’s up to God how He gives graces. It’s not up to us , His creatures, to expect to receive graces

Can a catholic expect to receive enough grace if he only goes to Mass once a week?

Yes, he can but but that Mass must extend into his daily life.

An analogy:
Think of the repayment on a loan. Going to Mass once a week and leaving it at that is like just making the minimum payment on the interest every month. It is the absolute minimum which will not incur penalty. By putting that Grace into action in your daily life, it is like making a payment beyond the interest which allows you to work on actually reducing the initial debt. You are actually lessening the distance between you and the repayment of the loan just as putting your Grace into action during the week draws you closer to Christ in practicing your faith. Going to Mass more often than once a week is like making extra payments on the loan and is yet another avenue to bring you Closer to Christ.

Now, this is not to say that people who go to Mass daily automatically move closer to Christ quicker. Again, if the Grace of the daily Mass goer is not put into practice in their daily lives, the weekly Mass goer may approach Christ quicker if he actively attempts live his Faith. A loan may be payed off quicker by making large monthly payments than small payments more often.

The Eucharist and Reconciliation are the fuel of my spiritual life. They keep me going and give me strength. I would have long been abandoned by the side of the road without them. Our Order is centered around the reception and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Without it, I truly would be nothing. What is an altar with out the Eucharist? What is a monstrance without the Blessed Sacrament? Nothing. Reconciliation is a practice which I try to attend as often as possible, even when I am not in a state of mortal sin. For me, it is not reactionary but rather an end in itself: the examination of your life, the humbling of the soul, the sorrow for our faults and failures and the loving embrace of Christ who wipes away your tears.

I need to start going to daily Mass- I need all the grace I can get. That means I can’t sleep until eleven anymore, though (I’m a student, so I have few responsibilities right now).
