Right. The issue seems to be when they wish to be seen as “adult” artists and go whole hog to change their image. I hope Miley Cyrus finally put some clothes on.
First she has to have her why do men objectify me stage. She has to follow that with a cause that shows she is wise and pure. (Unnecessary eyeglasses help) Then she will have her why don’t people take me seriously stage.
At this point it will be time for her to get dressed.
I don’t think celebrities should be pressured to be good role models any more than the rest of us. It can be a huge burden on them. I remember watching an interview of an ex Disney actress and she was talking about how scared she felt being a role model because she was struggling with mental illnesses and drug addictions.
parents should be the ones raising their kids. I feel like they use the excuse of bad celebrities way too often.
So yeah. While we should all be role models, a public figure shouldn’t have that greater responsibility (in context of course. The Pope would have to be one)
