From what I understand from the many many threads regarding this subject, one can’t really have that attitude because of the abstinence factor involved. With ABCs, one can share the marital embrace with little perceived consequences. But with NFP, you actually have to abstain, which is why so many people hate to use it, and instead use ABCs. If one’s attitude is just merely not to have kids (which I don’t believe. I believe there’s always an underlying serious reason if someone decides they shouldn’t conceive), they wouldn’t bother with NFP, they would just use ABCs like the 96% of Catholics who say they are using ABCs.However, you seem to have the gist of what I was saying, that to think to one’s self “Well, we can’t use ‘the pill’ or condoms…but I know a way around it! Haha! Take that, prohibitions against contraception!” is the wrong frame of mind to be in.
