How is Michael the Archangel a saint?

Good Morning,

I’ve always prayed to Michael the Archangel for strength, I enjoy seeing him as Satan’s ultimate destroyer.

If he is considered an angel, how can he also be referred to as ‘St. Michael’ the Archangel in our prayers printed in missals? Arent angels way past all this sainthood we humans struggle toward?
