How is the Christmas holy day obligation to attend Mass met?

I would like to attend a Protestant Christmas service with my wife’s family this holiday but I am unwilling to miss a Mass obligation. Because it is a small town, the Christmas Mass and the Protestant service are at the same time. Can I go to the Saturday vigil Mass to fulfill my Sunday obligation? Does the midnight Mass count? What, exactly, are the required holy days of obligation for the Christmas season?

In the United States, they are Christmas and the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God on
January 1 (although some years this solemnity is not a holy day of obligation). This year, since both holy days fall on Sunday, both are holy days of obligation. Masses on the afternoon or evening before the holy day will fulfill the holy day obligation.
