Nice try but if the question is whether **the Church **considers the LDS a cult, it’s not relevant what LDS thinks of the Church. You are free to have a discussion with other LDS members as to whether the Church is considered a cult by the LDS. 🤷
I understand what cult means. And the church that Christ started falls under that same view right?

I have tried to stay away from the condescending remarks, but my last posts were trying to respond as you have responded to me. Using the exact words at times. I was trying to show that your responses are silly and childish, but it has passed again over your heads. Rebecca stated that my responses nonsense. Do you get it now?

The Church never declared that the earth did not move; Aristotle did and Galileo could not prove any different. It took science almost two hundred more years to prove Aristotle wrong and Copernicus right. Just like it took science almost 200 years to prove Joseph Smith lied about the Book of Mormon and the Book of Abraham.
lol, so you are saying that the church did not care about it?

People think that the lds church is a cult for many reasons im sure, one reason is that living men speak for God and what the prophet says goes.

Catholics are under there bishop or pope, but the pope has not baned tea or alcohol etc.
There is a big difference in the level of control a cult has over people compared to the level of control a normal church does.
ARe you kidding? During the dark ages, if you went against the Catholic church you were dead. And I can choose to drink tea or alcohol just as I have a choice to do anything else I want to do, but if choose to go against the teachings of the church, then where is my faith? Just as if you went against the teachings of your church such as birth control, or gay marriages. Silly comparison

Did you read it?
Yes, and I think he failed to make an important point, probably because he wanted to emphasize an LDS slant. This is understandable it is after all an LDS conference talk.

More beating your chest.
Nonsense if they are actual historical places there should be evidence of them, we find evidence of much smaller and much older human occupation. For the BoM we have nada.

Where is everyone, I won again. Boy I am good.
I’d guess they are asleep or spending time with family, oddly enough most peoples lives don’t revolve around you, no one waits around for you to post.

Yes, and in the 1800s, if you went against the LDS Church, Porter Rockwell would kill you…or the Danites, etc etc. Heck, in the 1980, I went against the LDS Church and Mormons tried to kidnap my kids.

wow…so you compare drinking a cup of coffee to killing a baby? wow. just wow.

Wasnt that one of the original names of the LDS Church when Joseph was working for a name he actually liked?

So…where is the exact location of Zerehamla?

Where are all the bones and proof of the great battles with thousands of people near hill cumorah at New York?

Still waiting

*It is a perfectly natural and logical response to those ex-[insert religion] that attempt to present themselves as experts, many times over actual members of [insert religion] (note that this is not referring to all ex-[insert any religion]). *

Let me take herculean issue with this statement.

Americans, in particular, grow and personally develop intellectually and spirtually. Often this involves changing churches. This happens frequently in American society and most individuals are statistically likely to change denominational or religious preferences at least once in their life. Oftentimes, this is because of a mixed marriage but also burgeoning interest in theology and Christianity or somthing else. There may be other factors as well. Most have fond memories of the old life such as “a Polish Christmas dinner” or a “Tent Revival” or sitting in a “box pew” of a Presbrytarian church, but over time came to favor another path.

Ex-Mormons are categorically similar to what the ex-members of a cult would report. I have known, very personally, many, many, many ex-Mormons. I have never personally known ANYONE who said ‘Oh I loved the Mormon church but now I’m Methodist’. Instead, they all tell the same horror stories, whether they become Catholic, Baptist, Agnostic or something other. It’s not a conspiracy, It’s not meanness or propaganda. No one is trying to beat you (Mormons) up. We are simply and straightforwardly saying “Brother, you need to take a second and hard look at this thing!” There are huge problems with Joseph Smith’s religion.

If the head is a snake, the body will follow. Take your family and run. ❤️
