In this morning’s mail I received a handwritten love letter from my husband.

When he’s home he makes us spinach omelets and toast for breakfast.

He reads to his daughters every night, even if he’s seven states away and has to stay up until midnight to talk to them.

He taught the girls how to read.

He rubs my swollen feet and ankles after I’ve been on my feet all day.

He’s a great bartender.

He treats our old lady cat like the delicate furred princess she is.

He goes to Mass, Adoration, rosary recitations, Stations of the Cross, and Tenebrae with us even though he’s not Catholic.

So is your husband wonderful?

Let me count the ways…he has a wonderful sense of humor, he works very very hard for me and the whole family, he is a source of wisdom and guidance to our adult children, he adores his grandchildren and will do anything for them, he drives me to work and anywhere else I need/want to go in the winter because I hate to drive on bad roads, he was baptized and converted to Catholicism when we were first married, and has a passionate love for God and the Church, he was devoted to my mother when she was dying of cancer, went without sleep driving her to treatments, sat by her hospital bed through entire nights…I could go on, but I guess you get the idea. He really is a truly wonderful man.

Mine is amazing with our two kids and has a great sense of humor. He also works harder than anyone I know! He is awesome!

excellent idea to post these things. As there seems to be a great influx lately of just problems. Remember the little blessings throughout the day and try to let them overcome all the hard stuff.

Excellent topic, thanks for posting! 👍 My husband is wonderful because…

… he keeps me on my toes! He asks difficult questions about Catholicism and in turn, I get to look up the answers and learn more about the faith.

…he takes care of me when I’m sick and makes late-night runs to the drugstore for me.

…he fixes my computer whenever I ask.

…he always cleans up the kitchen after I make dinner.

When the grand babies are here, he does dishes so I can play with the babies. 🙂

He works incredibly hard to provide for me and our children. He always tries to support me, even if it makes things somewhat inconvenient/difficult for him. He’s always striving to become a better husband, father, and Christian all around. And he’s completely patient with me when my pregnancy hormones make my moods all out of whack! He loves reading and playing games with the kids.

He doesn’t make a big deal out of things that don’t have to be a big deal. As a result, our house is a totally drama-free zone.

He is quite simply the most amazing, loving, kind, compassionate, giving man I’ve ever known. I love and adore him SO MUCH!!. He puts our relationship with God first every single day. We pray together, we laugh together, we cry together. He also makes the bed everyday and he’s a great cook. Those are just bonuses though! Thanks for this topic!

That is great. He sounds very sweet. I would love for my husband to say the rosary with me. Last time I asked him to stay to say the rosary, he asked how long would it take then said that he would go get a donut and pick me up when it is over 😦

The willingness to make late-night Walmart runs and the ability to fix computers are essential to a healthy marriage. 🙂

My husband is a hero. He served in the Vietnam War, working on B52s. He became a Ranger in the 80s (at age 32 - no small feat!) and served all over the world before retiring from the military after 25 years.
He then became a math/science teacher for Grades 4-8, and was a wonderful, enthusiastic teacher, working in poor, inner-city schools.
He has been the gentlest, kindest husband anyone could ever wish for, with a rippin’ bod ;).
He never could bring himself to spank our children, because his nature is so patient and loving.
He has given me diamonds and pearls and his very self.
He attends all Masses and church functions and is a devout Catholic.
This is the kind of man he is: he shaved my legs for me in every pregnancy when I couldn’t bend over, because it was important to me! You can’t get better than that. 😛
