Matthew 5:17 -Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
So how does the law of Moses point to Jesus? The law isn’t simply the 10 commandments in jewish tradition there is 613 Mitzvot or commands:

the law can be broken down to 3 neat categories ( moral law, ceremonial law, and civil law)
The moral law is wisdom itself and Christ is wisdom (word) incarnate. We know that killing no matter what country, culture you live in is never good. The moral law is to be kept by everyone forever and wisdom (jesus) will always be here.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away
The ceremonial law was fullfilled and also completed in Christ. The jews don’t follow the ceremonial laws anymore because the temple was destroyed, but Christ is the third and final temple. All the rituals and sacrifices revolve around the slaughter of lambs for the blood to atone the sins of the people. Christ is the eternal passover lamb. Much of the ceremonial prefigures Jesus at calvary.
John 2:19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”
Hebrews 10:4 because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
The civil law is how we should conduct amongst our neighbors and civil authorities. Again Jesus left us many examples of caring for the poor and widows and parables such as the good samaratin. Showing how we ought to live
