How long do you sleep regularly?

Normally 5-6 hours a night. A little more on the weekends because I don’t get up at 5 for work. It’s getting ready to be a lot less as I am going on second shift next week and will be getting off at 3am. But I’ll make it, I’m used to getting 4 hrs or less during duck season and still function normally…😃

~6hrs, sometimes broken sleep caring for nursing babies… 11pm-5am (gotta set the alarm for work and to get the kids to school!)
rarely 7 (maybe a random Saturday morning sleep-in)…

6-7 hours at best, sometimes on weekends I may be able to get up to 8 hours or so. I live on the east side of a tall condo building and when the sun comes up in the morning its too bright (and sometimes too hot) for me to attempt to sleep any longer beyond when it wakes me up…

I’m an average Josephine, 8 hours is optimum. When I can sleep as late as I wish, I go to sleep at about 11 p.m. and wake up naturally at about 7 a.m. On weekdays I try to get to sleep by 10:30 a.m. and am woken up by hubby’s and son’s morning preparations at 5:30 a.m. so I feel tired most of the day. One hour makes a difference for me. Two hours and I am worthless.

🤷

At work sometimes 5 hours, sometimes 2. It’s ruined my sleep pattern at home. I go to bed at midnight and wake up at 4. Then I hit the snooze switch until 4:20. :hypno:

I don’t sleep regularly, I can’t. But if I could, it’d be 7 hours, maybe 8 if my system seemed to need more. A doctor I know claims it isn’t really so clear cut as n hours being good for everybody, as in it can be different from person to person.

When I’m in school my sleep schedule is very inconsistent, ranging from a couple of hours one night (if I’m nervous about an exam) to 12 hours the next (if I have the free time). During the summer, I stay at a pretty consistent 8-9 hours per night.

6 1/2 to 7 hours on most nights. I wish I could get 8 - I feel so much more energy when I do.

I chose 9 but it varies. I only work one day a week and I have to be at work at 6:45. So on that night I usually get around 5 or 6 hours.

My sleeping habits are sort of irregular though, aside from that. Sometimes (like this past couple of weeks) I’ll stay up pretty late, until 1 or 2 (or 3) and sleep until 10 or 11. Then I’ll start feeling like a slob and will go to bed a little earlier at like midnight and get up at 8 or 9 for a few days.

5 hrs. Between work and taking care of the housework and kids (homework /make dinner/ cleanup/ laundry/ make lunches/ kids activities/ tuck them in etc.) not much time for more.

It’s all over the place for me. Sometimes hubby lets me sleep in and I get 10 hours or more, sometimes I get 4. I have trouble falling asleep and I’m woken by the kids every night.

I once read a study that indicated people who got 6 or less and 8 or more hours of sleep had shortened life spans. 7 was touted as the ideal for a long life.

Guys, am I of the minority needing 10 hours’ sleep? How incredible, there must be something wrong.
I can’t imagine family life with babies and so, as I need so much sleep.

Wanna see how screwy your sleeping patterns can get? Work shifts!

When on mornings, I need 12 hours sleep to function, on afternoons around 7 - 8, but on nights, I only need 6. Its very strange.
