How long does God remain in us after receiving the Eucharist?

I just read in a Catholic article, that at Communion, Christ stays with us for 15 minutes. I had never heard of a time frame for receiving Communion. Is this true, or does Christ stay in our soul until driven out by our sins?:confused:
