How long for Parts of the Mass?

I’m curious how much time various parishes devote to the different parts of the Mass.

We have a digital clock in our choir area so we can tell how much time we have before Mass starts. I checked this morning and Mass started at almost exactly 9:00am. The Prayers of the Faithful ended and the Liturgy of the Eucharist began at 9:31. The final announcements concluded at about 9:56. The clock said 9:59 when the final hymn was finished.

I don’t generally make a point of checking the time during Mass but since I did today I’m wondering how our Mass compares to those at other parishes.

Sounds relatively normal - I’d say most Masses I’ve been to have about half devoted to Liturgy of the Word and half to Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Except for those infrequent occasions where my priest gets a little excited with the homily - his homilies are always good, but sometimes become a ways longer than normal.

That sounds about average. It is roughly 30min for the Liturgy of the Word and the Eucharist. Sometimes in summer it can be 22-23min or so, or if you have other things (Baptisms, Confirmation, First Communion, etc…) it can be drawn out to 1hr 15min, 1hr 30min or even more.

After an hour most people really start getting frigidity and are looking towards the exits.
