How long have you been Catholic?

I converted from Evangelical Fundamentalism to Roman Catholicism about 2 years ago. I don’t know if I think I changed “religions” since I was Christian then and I am Christian now, I just changed denominations.

Almost a cradle catholic … Baptized & first Eucharist at 10 => real long “Prodigal Daughter Tour”

I converted to Catholicism from another religion more than 10 years ago

14 years - attended Jesuit High School without being Catholic and converted a few years after graduation…

I wish there was an option:

I am a cradle Catholic, I have often strayed, I am always returning.

Or something along those lines.

Converted 4 years ago this month. I was a lax Southern Baptist before that. I attended Mass for 3-4 years with my DH before converting. Wow - I didn’t realize it had been that long!

Can you add poll options after creating the poll?

Converted (/Reconciled) from Presbyterianism 9 years ago.

I was going to say, where’s the 5-10 year option?!

I grew up nominally Protestant, but non-practicing (wasn’t baptized, never attended church). I swam the Tiber in 2007 when I was in college. Still, though, I don’t think I really “got it” until my son was baptized in 2011, and was pretty lukewarm before that.

I was raised as a “cradle Catholic,” but I converted to Deism when I was eighteen.

In late November, 2013, I reconverted back to Catholicism after experiencing something I can only classify as a miracle.
