How long have you been married?

Aw…that was my dad’s birthday friend! And Joe’s mom passed on that date as well.

You know, I almost included this in my post, but then didn’t…

My mom died on August 22 on my son’s 10th birthday. :o A little of every emotion going on that day.
 
We’ve been married for 8 1/2 years now. And we went on our first date a year to the day before our wedding day so it’s been 9 1/2 years since our first date!
 
It will be 41 years in June - just a week after we graduated from Boston College (met freshman year in theology class.) I have never considered divorce for a minute… murder once or twice, but never divorce. 😉
 
42 years…10 of the happiest years of my life…and my wife says if I don’t stop saying that, I’m not going to make it to 43 😃
 
I’ve resisted for this long but my penchant for compiling lists has got the better of me. Here is the hierarchy of marriage-ness…

We’ve been civilly married for 13 years…but just had our marriage convalidated in the Catholic Church 4 months ago after my return and my husband’s conversion…so, 4 months! 😃
 
28 years in April. It was easy for me (I married up). Don’t want to think of the kind of man I would have become without her.,
 
We had been married over 51 years when my wife died two and a half years ago.
 
We have been married only 8 year’s, but it seems like a much shorter time then that.
 
It feels very much like we’ve been married much longer than 15 years, tbh. I can’t really clearly remember life without him.
 
Twenty long years of hardened self sacrifice; tears and care; but who said I was easy to live with? My value is in making my wife a saint… that’s my story and I am sticking with it…

I am very sorry for your loss. My father passed away 3 months before my parents 60th. We have been married for 38 years next month; still waiting for the “richer” part. :whistle:
