Has anyone else seen and felt all what the world is going through, how sick with sin it really is? All the war, pestilence, abortions, sacrileges, and abominations there are? I was thinking about it today and its overwhelming! It makes me sick at heart. Please, Jesus, hurry up! It’s enough now, isn’t it? And yet the time of intense trial has not even begun? How many more wounds will you allow your heart to suffer Come back and heal us and close the chapter of human history and bring in eternity. Maranatha!

Every generation has felt the same way for the past 2,000+ years.

I conquer with your statement,

It is true that alot of things are happening around the world, but the World has always been tense, we’ve always been one bone headed mistake from full out destruction.

I am reminded of Revelation 22:20:
*The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!*

I “concur”. You stand a better chance of conquering with some kind of weapon. 😉 (I hope I’m not offending).

Before 1945, full out destruction was not possible. For around 70 years in the history of the world, man is able to annihilate all life and itself from this earth. The way things are evolving, the way the religion of peace (Islam) is growing, how fringes become radicalized, this world as we know it has perhaps 25, at most 50 years left. China and Russia are also concerns.

April 17th, 2033 would be a nice date for His return.

Totally, the actual period humanity is going through has never been so bad in history. But I am afraid this is not even the beginning, great sorrow and suffering precede us. We can already identify some sings of the time, there is not doubt we are really near to it, but everything is just warming up. Stay strong and dont lose hope, because humanity is going to face nothing it has ever faced before.

I am often torn between begging Our Lord to return, and begging Him for just one more day in which to pray and make sacrifices for souls. Sure, I may (please God!!) be in a state of grace. But what about all those souls who have not yet made their peace with God? My ex-husband (and son’s father) is one of those souls.

In August of 1917 Our Lady told the children of Fatima, “pray much and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because there is no one to make sacrifices for them.”

So in the agony of recognizing just how messed up the world is, perhaps we have more opportunity to make little sacrifices for souls. 👍

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta said – regarding little sacrifices – “To God there is nothing small. The moment we have given it to God, it becomes infinite.” Now THAT’S a reason to beg for one more day! 😃

Maranatha, Lord! (but in Your time, not mine)

I often feel the same way, Layp3rs0n.

I am torn, like some others here: I don’t want any souls to be lost who might have been saved if only Jesus had delayed. At the same time, it is natural and good to long for the consummation of all things, the ushering in of the Eternal Day when God will be “all in all.”

The following is a prayer that I wrote from my heart recently. The first quarter or third or so is more particularly relevant to those who have lost lives at the hands of evil deeds (the prayer was written on the anniversary of 9/11, so I had both that and the terrorist activity of ISIS on my mind) but the rest is a general prayer for God to finally come and vindicate us, not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual enemies we face, who will finally be confined to Hell where they can no longer abuse humanity, nor attack our Lord.

A Prayer for Vindication

Blessings in Christ,

Yes. I am sick, and it is starting to affect me mentally as well. Why? Because I am much older than the majority of the members here, and remember a much saner world. The chasm between how things were and how they now are is wider than you know. Everything was turned upside down.

These are very difficult times for a Catholic to live in. Three days of darkness would be preferable to this ongoing charade with no end in sight.

Pray for me, and I will pray for all here.

Well, once in a while I ask for the end of the world, but much more often I ask God for the end of me (preferably when I am in a state of grace, that is if I ever really achieve that).

I agree that the world is very very sick, but I just don’t think very often of asking for it to end. Perhaps that is selfish of me.

Oddly, I do visualize what most would consider its end often enough, with nuclear and biological warfare and so forth, but I don’t really associate that with the 2nd Coming. I don’t know why.

I’m pretty sure that I don’t ever want to lay eyes on the anti-Christ; I think I’d much rather be dead before that comes to pass. I doubt both my ability to survive the End Times and my ability to avoid falling into the anti-Christ’s snares and traps. I probably ought to have more faith in God to help me overcome the anti-Christ’s evil, but somehow I think I would mess that up. I’m a lot more comfortable with the idea of just undergoing a plain old death.

Lord, God, please help me attain a state of grace and then take me ASAP.

Cant say there has ever been a ‘saner’ time in human history!

War after war etc etc. God is waiting for the right time to act. I am sure he has had enough of all the evil in the world.

We love you God. 👍

He permits it, doesn’t He? I have a hard time with that. I also have a hard time with Him permitting evil to be done to innocent children.

Yes, I know all the rote responses to that age-old dilemma.

I disagree with you. The USA in particular had a lot more going for it sixty years ago than it has today. And it was saner. No abortion. No gross immorality. I could go on, but I am sure you know the laundry list as well as I.

60 years ago it was at war!

No abortion above ground, only hidden. Immorality has always been there. Media today brings a lot into the public’s eyes that was hidden years ago!

To the extent we have it today? Maybe in your country; not in mine.

I do not wish to discuss this with you any further, and I am sorry I even posted here.

Good Day.
