What’s your best guess? Geography undoubtedly will play a part. But as things ramp up here in the US where I am, I’m asking folks to place your bets.
They’re estimating 4 months over here (UK), but I reckon it’ll be longer than that. They estimate that they’re 18 months away from a vaccination. I think they’re too reliant on the idea of warmer weather for easing this. Just my opinion ofc.
I think this experience will have a lasting effect on us all.China’s about at the 3-month mark since the first case that we know about. Since they’re still getting active cases, even 12 weeks may be a bit optimistic.
There are two confirmed cases in my area and we, too, only go to the grocery store.I found out Greenville County, South Carolina had a case, so I called my friend who who lives up there , he said he estimates it’ll be about 2 months. Also, he’s from Saudi Arabia , and he teaches at Clemson, so I’m going to guess that he’s not going to visit his mom for quite some time. He told me that pretty much the only place he goes, is to the grocery store now.
Unfortunately I agree.I think this experience will have a lasting effect on us all.
Unless they take that social distancing to new levelsThey always do after any events that keep people homebound.
On campus, there’s daily temperature taking and contact tracing. They take pictures of us in classes to see who’s near us. Lectures are cancelled and we have online ones instead. If you don’t mind me asking but how are they doing things in Singapore @lea101?
