How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

The question is theoretical of course. We know that angels don’t dance on pins. They dance and sing in 9 choirs in Heaven. They also pray unceasingly, and you might say, their prayers on the symbolic head of a pin are unlimited, and filling all of space, including black holes. Remember, we each have an angel. Ask your angel about dancing on pins.
Did ask. She/he rolled on the floor laughing her/his …

I would love to talk to my angel about it! And filling a black hole…that’s a whole (no pun intended) lotta angels!

It might only take one angel to fill an entire black hole if God so permits or requires. However, I think angels have more important missions in Heaven and on earth. Consider the work of guardian angels. Some saints had the gift of being able to speak to their guardian angel. And just because an angel appears looking like a man, like in the Old Testament, only means they took on that form for the benefit of the humans they interact with.

One example is Tobias wrestling with the archangel Raphael, which symbolizes his “wrestling” with God. We may see ourselves in Tobias on various occasions in our lives. Then there are the angels who looked like young men at the home of Lot and his wife.who protected him from the evil townsmen, the angel who saved Hagar and her child, stayed Abraham’s hand from killing Issac.

In the New Testament, we know the angel Gabriel gave the message to Zachary that Elizabeth would have a child and, of course, to the Blessed Mother. They sang “Gloria” to the shepherds at the birth of the Savior. An angel comforted Our Lord in the Garden of Gethsemane.

At Fatima, the three children first saw the angel of Portugal and received Holy Communion from him before the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin. So there are angels in charge of each country. (If a country splits into factions, I wonder if stand-by angels would be requires. Hmmm. . .)

Sorry about going off on a tangent here, but I just thought I’d pin the debate on more significant issues (pun intended ;))

But isn’t the real question why this pin-head of dancing angels crossed the road?

It depends on whether they’re Catholic angels or Fundamentalist angels.

An infinite number of Catholic angels could dance on the head of a pin, because they are spirits and do not occupy space, even a teeny tiny space like the head of a pin.

Fundamentalist angels would not dance.

Apologies if there is already a thread here somewhere by this title. I did a search with the exact question, but nothing came up.

Anyway, I’d really like to see what the consensus is. How many angels can dance on the head of a pin, anyway?
What are you talking about???:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

LOL! And so would Mormon angels, although they would not smoke or drink alcohol or coffee!

This thread is SO funny…😃 👍

Actually, if one MUST go there, the idea that back in the Middle Ages theologians “wasted time” arguing how many angels could dance on the head of a pin is actually TOTALLY untrue. They ACTUALLY “wasted time” arguing whether Angels defecated (and other supposedly “stupid” questions). 😛

Well, in the Middle Ages, according to legend, learned theological scholars would debate this question for hours upon hours. The gamut of answers posted here included some that might be expected, some that are unexpected, and some that have-a the tongue, in- a the cheek!😃

It’s all good 4Horsemen! You just gave a short course in angelology, which is always good, and I hadn’t thought of the effect of new nations being formed- which has happened even very recently of course- on the work assignment of angels. But the more angels down here the better, say I!

Ewwww:eek: I think I’ll stick to the logistics of pin dancing!

Just want to clarify- one of the top university dance programs in the USA is the University of Utah, which usually places 1st or 2nd, switching places periodically with Juilliard. And BYU has the top ballroom dance program in the country, hands down. Mormons know dancing!👍
