In sum, there are
195 Archdioceses/Archeparchies and Dioceses/Eparchies of the Catholic Church in the U.S.A., subdivided into:
–
145 Latin Catholic dioceses;
–33 Latin Catholic archdioceses;
–15 Eastern Catholic eparchies; and
**–2 **Eastern Catholic archeparchies
Although it has not been reflected in the USCCB website, I think the 17 eparchies and archeparchies of the Eastern Catholic Churches in the U.S. have been constituted as a separate, and new, Region XV of the USCCB.
In this manner, the Eastern Catholic bishops may be able to confer among themselves, as one group, apart from their Latin counterparts. It used to be that each Eastern Catholic Church and her bishop belonged to the region where they were physically situated.
For a listing of the current (i.e., probably as of the end of 2006 or 2005) number of faithful in each diocese/eparchy in the U.S., please refer to:

By the way, The Eparchy of St. Peter for the Chaldeans was the receptor of the recent mass translation from the Assyrian Church of the East, led by Mar Bawai Soro. One of our Forum members, Anthony (antgaria) joined in this journey and gave us some of his personal accounts.
