How many Catholic Priests become protestant?

I was curious, how many Catholic priests convert to protestantism each year? (Or even other religions.)

How many protestant clergy become Catholic each year?

I was curious because so much of what the anti-Catholics quote was written by priests over 100 years ago. I find few protestant writters who are living that are former Catholic Priests.

There are also many con artists that claim to be former Catholic Priests but were not like Alberto at chick publications.😦
 
I am willing to bet that a lot more Protestant ministers become Catholic than Catholic priests become Protestant. I think that most priests who leave the Church probably do not take up another religion.

It puts me in mind of a story told about the famous 18th century French theist Voltaire (whom many Catholics erroneously refer to as atheist). Seems that a lady at a party said to him, “I hear that you’ve lost your Catholic faith.” “That is true, Madam,” he replied. “So why don’t you become a Protestant?” she asked. Indignantly, Voltaire replied, “Madam, it is true that I have lost my faith–but not my reason!”
 
Very Good Pilgrim! Many parishes have former priests that left and got married during the great confusion of the 60s and 70s. They are invited to the seminary reunions. They are employed in various professions. Some still assist the church in non-priestly capacities. Most still go to Mass, as far as I can see. After assisting at a Mass at a hospital chapel one Sat. night, one of the nuns told me that there were 3 ex-priests that had attended. I was shocked. Sadly, many Protestants like to brag about Catholics joining them, instead of bragging about what they believe. I am sure we would have heard if any priests had joined them.

We do lose some in that direction. Many just blend in and don’t make a fuss especially if they join a mainline group. Most probably go Anglican or Orthodox. But the fundy’s like to trot out some as prizes or lacking other job skills they start ministries to catholics. It always strikes me as a bit…pathetic (in the classical ‘pathos’ kind of way).

Rude? Whats rude? You obviously know nothing about Voltaire, and there was nothing said that was "religiously discriminatory at all.

If you want “religious discrimination”…I can give you links to sites that contain plenty of it…and none of it is “Catholic” in origin…
