Hello,
I am currently reading the whole Bible. I am going straight through from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21! I am currently in Jeremiah, and I am hopeful to finish the Old Testament by Pentecost.
I think the most informative part so far has been the Historical Books. They really gave me a sense of salvation history from Adam to Jesus. And they tied a lot of things together for me logically.
I struggled through some of the Pentateuch - who is really enthralled by all the procedures of the Levitical Priesthood? But nothing was as dry as the first half of 1 Chronicles! Talk about “offering it up”!
I read at least two pages a day. I will read at least one chapter (some chapters are very, very long) even if it takes more than two pages. I always stop at the beginning of a chapter. Sometimes I will read many pages a day - usually on a Sunday when I rest with the Lord and His Word!
Overall - a very rewarding experience.
Warning: Scripture reading is highly addictive!
