How many here actually know Latin?

I have learned most of the Rosary prayers. I am adding more as time goes on. But I try to understand what I am saying. I just don’t say it. It make you concentrate on what your actually trying to mean.

I love languages, but have never fully learned a second. But maybe I can change that now.

I’m thinking of taking classical latin 101 and 102 at a local community college as soon as I can. Sadly that won’t be until next spring.

Yo supo un poco espanol. I don’t know hardly any latin, but I am able to guess very well what the words are by comparing them to both spanish and english words.
I feel sorry for lawyers....:(

Quite a bit. Sinister is the opposite of Dexter. Dexter is the subject’s right side.

Occulum is Eye, I think.

I can make sense of individual words, mostly due to many English words having latin roots, but I can’t get the grammar.

I have, however, learned a lot of that bizzare language the heralds use(d) in recording armorial bearings.
