Less than 1 hour.

We only turn on the TV for American Idol & I’m giving baths & cleaning up during the show. We watch 24 on DVD & sometimes I sit and watch all of LOST.

Zero. I’m not really a TV person, and DH and I were just given a TV a few weeks ago, so for the first 3.5 years of marriage, we didn’t have one. 😃

But let me explain that my DH has a ceiling-mounted projector and large screen (9 ft?) in our living room, so we do watch DVDs a few times per month.

Maybe about two hours. That includes news/debate shows such as Hannity and Colmes.

lately i don’t watch tv like regularly. unlike before i had Regular shows that i had to watch. now i mostly watch Ewtn , sometimes movies on Hbo .

Who are they?
Sean Hannity is a conservative political analyst…Alan Colmes is a liberal political analyst. They hold debates over all kinds of issues every night on Fox News. Sean is a Catholic, but in name only.

About 40 minutes 5-6 days a week.
I should have specified, this is time watching DVDs (we’re going through the 24 series), not what is being broadcast–we don’t have that service. But I love my online DVD rental 😉

I watch about 2 hours. 1 hour watching the BBC 6 o’clock news followed by regional news @ 6.30pm. At weekends, probably 4 to 5 hours. If I didn’t have health problems I wouldn’t hardly watch TV.

Zero. I do watch the news on the internet, probably about 15 to 30 minutes most days.
Somes I watch a dvd but not everyday.

I average about 2 hrs. during the week. and hardly any on the weekends, unless the S.F. Giants are playing or WNBA. I’m a dvd and watching movies i’ve already watched again and again and again. 🙂

Do you watch any sport?

I recently had my cable television service disconnected. I feel it is a total waste of time which promotes sloth and a plethora of other things. We don’t have time; time belongs to God so I don’t see how sitting idly in front of the television gives Him glory or edifies anyone. If you want edification, pick up Scripture or a good book.

Sports? I used to waste entire Sundays watching football. It’s ridiculous. Our modern concept of entertainment is so messed up. Those teams you cheer for have no allegiance to you nor should you have any to them. They are businesses who’s sole aim is profit; at your expense in more ways than one.

Here’s something that’s sure to get me into hot water with some. Athletes are totally overpaid.

EWTN is the only channel worth watching but I can get that on the net. And that show, Life On The Rock; too many professional athletes being featured on there. Start putting regular people on the show; plumbers, carpenters, truck drivers, small business owners, etc.

Christianity is becoming watered down & sugar coated; the nation is totally goofy because we buy into all this junk we don’t need.

I’m grouchy but I believe for good reason.

We should fix it. Pray, Simplify & Glorify God. 👍

Over 'n out.

You guys are inspirational. I admit I watch far too much. At least it’s mainly things like history and art documentaries, cooking shows and shows like Mythbusters - apart from my real weakness, the Simpsons (though I don’t watch the reruns at least). Good old movies will suck me in too.

We don’t have cable and as long as I’m alive and not paralyzed, we won’t. (If I’m ever paralyzed, I’ll probably change my mind.)

I think that a lot of people should reconsider cable. Please consider getting involved with the fight to allow Americans to purchase cable channels individually. I’ve posted this link before:

cwfa.org/articles/5468/CFI/family/index.htm

If I could buy cable ala carte, I would buy EWTN.

So many of the so-called science and nature channels are really nothing more than evolution channels. I don’t want to be fed that “religion.”

The sports channels would be nice, especially since almost all the figure skating competitions are on ESPN now, and even my beloved Monday Night Football is on cable instead of network.

But I would never spend my money on a “package” of cable channels. I really encourage you all to think about it. I certainly will not try to tell you that you’re “wrong” and I’m right. But think about that $50/month (or whatever). It’s about $600/year, and that’s that cost of books for one semester for your child when they go to college (or if they go to a private high school, in our case!).

It’s also approximately the cost of a new pair of ice skating boots!

:If its a saturday some times ill watch the 2 or 3 hockey games they have even tho like the ducks 😛
