How many miracles did Mohammad perform?

Jesus performed countless number of miracles. I wonder how many Mohammad performed.

“but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works (miracles), that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” (John 10:38)
 
The Koran does not record that Muhammad performed any miracles. Moslems do not claim that he performed any miracles. However they do describe an even known as “splitting the moon” in which he allegedly cause a lunar eclipse. However, Moslems do not consider this miraculous.
 
According to the Quran, none other than the Quran which it claims to be enough as a miracle.

according to hadith, he did many which is a direct blow to the Quran’s claim of being “enough”.

I too can split the moon with my arm outstretched and have people behind me focus on my thumb and witness a miraculous eclipse. Although i have yet to learn how to walk on water or control the weather. I know someone achieved this and it definitely wasn’t a guy called Mohammad or Criss Angel. What’s His name again…?

I believe the proper question should be, “If Mohammad is such a revered prophet of Islam, why didn’t he perform miracles as opposed to Isa (also a prophet in Islam)”?

I know the Qu’ran claims that trees sang songs to him and that he had an iron stomach because he didn’t die after eating poison. Oh i know, the Battle of Badr! Thousands of “angels” came to his aid to kill Mohammad’s enemies. These “angels” may well have been the earliest Janissaries…

because people will still disbelieve in him so he claimed he is not given the ability to perform miracles because some people disbelieved in previous prophets 😉

Sorry, meant to write the “Hadiths”: About the Jewess poisoning Mohammad and him “calming” the trunk because it was crying (some say crying, others say it was singing). These stories were told by my former colleague. I think they are the hadiths of Anas and Bukhari?

yes i agree the hadith mentions the poisoning of Muhammad and that the roasted beef warned him:

Narrated AbuSalamah:

Muhammad ibn Amr said on the authority of AbuSalamah, and he did not mention the name of AbuHurayrah: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) used to accept presents but not alms (sadaqah).

This version adds: So a Jewess presented him at Khaybar with a roasted sheep which she had poisoned. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) ate of it and the people also ate.

He then said: Take away your hands (from the food), for it has informed me that it is poisoned. Bishr ibn al-Bara’ ibn Ma’rur al-Ansari died.

So he (the Prophet) sent for the Jewess (and said to her): What motivated you to do the work you have done?

She said: If you were a prophet, it would not harm you; but if you were a king, I should rid the people of you. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) then ordered regarding her and she was killed. He then said about the pain of which he died: I continued to feel pain from the morsel which I had eaten at Khaybar. This is the time when it has cut off my aorta. (Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 39, Number 4498)
 
So the most important prophet of Islam was so incompetent that he couldn’t even produce a single sign to show he was from God?

can’t you see that the Quran is supposed to be a sign? nevermind it’s failure but according to Muhammad, it was enough…i guess intention matters here.
 
Mohammed performed no miracles because Mohammed is a false prophet. Nothing of Jesus Christ can perform a miracle. Only things of Christ are worthy.
