Is ETWN where Catholics get the false information that the bible is a Catholic Book?
Nope, that would be simple history. How anyone can think otherwise reflects poorly on their grasp of history and objective reality.

Whether you are a Catholic or not, I suggest that you take a look at EWTN, if it is available in your area.

Here is the internet link for EWTN.

I say this, because there is information provided on many of the shows there that all Christians will find insightful.

I watch other Christian Channels from time to time and the History Channel, whenever they have a show that is discussing any aspect Christianity,

However, I view these shows, in the context of my Catholic beliefs. I disagree with much of the comments and opinions expressed on theses shows but, from time-to-time, there are opinions expressed which do not in conflict with Catholic doctrine and are very insightful.

I am not afraid to hear the opinions of others… for, four reasons.

One, I am secure in my own Catholic faith.

Two, I know that God works in mysterious ways.

Three, I have learned more a about my non-Catholic Christian brothers and sisters and their denominations this way.

Finally, Four, I know that, whatever is true and good, will always represent truth and goodness, because truth and goodness never changes, regardless the source.… and one never knows where he might find the next little golden nugget of Christian truth.

I study other religions, Christian denominations, and their beliefs, so that I can become a better Catholic.

Peace

What price glory? Spartans were usless anything else. Their need to rely on slaves lead to their downfall.

One of my minors was history, focusing on military (modern).
That was not the only reason. They had little to none naval power, Athen’s had the largest and most advanced of its area, and Athens was walled in.

cool

Cannot wait to join the Army to become a professional soldier…
ChristianKnight,

That’s awesome; I have a new found respect for you. My son is attending the U.S.M.A. at West Point, where he is also on the boxing team. He beat the fighter from Navy last weekend. My daughter is a veteran and my youngest wants to be a Marine.

I wish you the best!

God bless.

True. Sparta saw no real need to wall up as they had some rough terrain around them.

I saw 300 and was disappointed in the actual historical liberties taken, though I liked the film. To me, the older 300 Spartans was a better film historically.

Yea, it is, but its like Troy. No one cares about historical accuracy, they just want the guys in it to be buff, and tough. If it came down to historical accuraccy older films are usually better cause the people in them actually liked the stories, but 300 was entertaining. Even though their was a lot more then 300 spartans at that place. If you count all the slaves they would have had with them, and non-spartans ect.

Cool. I am glad he did, I am tired of us loosing the Army-Navy Game. I nearly got kicked out of a class cause my teacher was a ex-navy submariner and we argued for all of class about why Army isn’t better then Navy.

Finally something we can agree on.

btw: Have you guys noticed, a lot of EWTN has been re-runs? Nearly everything I watch I’ve seen already.
That’s because you don’t have the TV menu on what is happening on there. It is delivered to me in the mail every month and I distribute them to the churches. Would you like me to send you one? There are some great documentaries on EWTN.

I don’t watch EWTN, but I do listen to the Catholic Channel on satellite radio.

Jimmy,
Isn’t this like saying, how many Catholics watch TBN? What’s the point here? 🤷
Uh, yeah, I agree. I’m not a Catholic, why would I watch EWTN? I don’t even watch TBN that much, I don’t care for some of those folk.

I am non-catholic and I watch EWTN.

I saw this awesome show called something like “Heresis of the Church” or something about Heresies over the years, rather interesting. He didn’t talk about protestants though, it was about Gnostics.
