A slanderous lie .
There is no justification for sladering the documents, and the Council itself.

I disagree. You don’t accept the documents; any other excuse is just a cover.

You have no weight of argument, no critique; all you have is the snarling.

Give us something we can look at, as intelligent adults, rather than a condemnation, pure and simple.

prayers and charity to our posters,

peace

Who has done this? Either I nor Fisheaters has done as much.
You don’t accept the documents
Once again, a slanderous comment from you. I accept them in their entirety. I just think that they are ambiguous and poorly written and that it takes a lot of work to see them in the light of Tradition. The current Pope has made it clear that his intention is to do as much, and that his thinking is almost identical to the thinking I posted above.
no critique
I have made no critique. More McCarthyism from you…

Once again, I’ve done no such thing.

I have condemned nothing. I would like you to point out to me the post where I have done this. Once again, you see many things that just aren’t there. Kind of like a certain Senator I know of…

Yet, on CAF, there is a “core” of individuals who constantly bludgeon the others around here with their high-and-mighty, know-everything-about-the-Church attitudes.

I wanted to know just how many of them actually DID something to teach their faith besides lord their knowledge over others on CAF.

The answer was loud and clear. Most of the responses from folks who DID teach were NOT the folks that I was referring to. A few DID weigh in, mostly out of defiance.
Ever heard of “be careful not to do your acts of righteousness before men to be seen by them”? Or “do not let your left hand know what your right is doing”?

The people you’re calling vicious, “almost-sinful”, high and mighty know-it-alls probably don’t feel obligated to tell you about their good works. And the ones that did respond, you just wrote them off by saying that they aren’t the “core” group you were referring to, but you won’t tell us who exactly that “core” group is.

Criticizing these unnamed people for not teaching the youth is also ridiculous. I’m 17 years old, raised “Catholic”, but I learned almost everything I know about the faith from this site over the last year. Most parishes wouldn’t even consider giving the orthodox Catholics here a teaching position. They ARE sharing their knowledge by participating in this forum.

Sorry for the angry post, but I think it’s absurd to start a thread with this intent. Nobody owes you a list of how much charity work they do, as if they have to prove to you that they’re good Catholics.

Joe McCarthy. Man are you living in the past. I don’t have time to go through your nasty posts to me. You have a short memory on posts, and you are old enough to remember the McCarthy hearings?

I have already told you, I never supported Joe McCarthy (he was never called “Joseph” as a handle).

peace

This doesn’t negate the fact that you and him still have something in common…and you really can’t give a direct answer to a post can you?

Hopefully you take what you learn from this site with a grain or two of salt.

That hardly answered the question…why does everyone owe you a list of their good works so that you can judge them?

And what exactly are you teaching by calling people “defiant”, “vicious”, “high-and-mighty”, "know-everything"s, and not even naming them so that they have a chance to respond to your insults?

Sounds like that guy PA a teenager who must have been banned by now.

This is really a personal attack. Please stop it.

peace
That’s a funny thing to say hardly 5 minutes after you wrote a personal attack against me.

By the way, “McCarthyism” doesn’t mean you supported Joe McCarthy or anything like that. It was a reference to exactly what you did by accusing Semper of rejecting Vatican II.

It’s not a personal attack. I’m accusing you of something you have clearly done on numerous occasions (including this thread) to many people including myself. How is that a personal attack?

Why do you need a source?
Because I don’t believe you and require further proof. It’s slanderous on your part until you can provide such proof. Ever heard of don’t believe everything you hear? Well, this is a prime example. I can walk around calling you an anti-semite too but that doesn’t make it so unless I can prove it. Once again, it’s called being academic, something you’ve clearly never heard of.
Was he or wasn’t he?
You tell me.

I know first hand witnesses.

You can’t get a straight story on line. Their Center has covered the Internet with protections over him despite the fact that he was excommunicated.

A disobedient Jesuit! Talk about anomalies.

charitable prayers to everyone

It is not really worth my while to respond to your nasty comments. You hold no one with respect, which is a requirement of this website.

I remember you in my prayers. With charity.

Wow. I guess this settles it.

I do not support Fr. Feeney’s interpretation of EENS, but you have no way of knowing or proving he was an anti-semite. This is the exact meaning of slander. Whether you agree with his theology or not is of no consequence. You have just slandered a Priest who died in full communion with the Church by spreading lies about him in full knowledge that you in no way can actually prove it.
A disobedient Jesuit! Talk about anomalies.
I don’t know if you’ve checked the news lately, but most of the Jesuits are disobedient in today’s world. Pope Benedict XVI recently spoke to the Jesuits on needing to recover their obedience to the Supreme Pontiff.

While I am not a Fr. Feeney supporter, can you provide proof that the above are anti-semites? Otherwise, this is just more calumny from your part.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has since listed the organization (the Benedict Center) as an anti-Semitic hate group.
