How many "real" Christians and "real" Catholics are there approximately?

I don’t think it is anyone’s business, except for God’s. It does not affect my relationship to
God, so I think I will just let Him handle it. Of course, we must pray for all, so that no one might be lost.

👍

Another thought that I had after my original post is this: how many Catholics and Christians out there are actually striving for holiness? I don’t mean seeking their own glory and fame, but actually and genuinely desiring that God’s Will may be done in their life.

P.S.: This is a rhetorical question; I don’t actually expect a statistic. 😉

We all know that some people saying that they are Christian or Catholic, don’t even belive in God and most don’t even attend mass or Church regulary. There are 1.2 billion self proclaimed Catholics and 2.2 billion self proclaimed Christians. How many orthodox Catholics and Christians approximately like me and you are there?
Salvation is a journey that one needs to choose every day. There is no way one can quantitate it by saying someone is a “real” Christian or Catholic. I think for all of us, we are more real than other days. All of us fail and then all of us pick it up and carry on. If someone is claiming to be a Christian and doesn’t believe in God or practice their faith only hurts themselves in the long run.

Agreed!

What is the point of even asking the question? Would you winnow out those whom you consider to be lesser in spirit? “If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.”
