How many rosaries do you own??

I have several (I voted six or more because offhand I don’t even know how many I have) I’ve “collected” them, if that sounds right, over the years, and many of them came free in the mail. I’ve kept them, because I just couldn’t have thrown them away, and there was no one to give them to, and I just like having the little collection of them. Undeniably, they are very pretty to look at. I have three favorites, though. One is crystally white, an Our Lady of the Snows rosary, another is green, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and another the beads are pink and heart-shaped, but it has no special title. I pray on my green one the most, because green is my favorite color, and I’ve always thought the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was beautiful.🙂
 
Just three at the moment. I have the one that I carried down the aisle at my wedding (made myself with Swarovski crystal beads), a tiny wood tenner in my purse, and the green one that kept me leashed to Our Blessed Mother through the toughest part of my life.
 
I have several Rosaries, a few at home, one at work, one in each car. You never know when you might want to Pray the Rosary. I Pray the Rosary at least once a day.

At the moment 4.
  1. Bought a cheap plastic rosary for my rear view mirror
  2. At the same time I bought a second wooden beaded rosary to keep in my room and pray with.
  3. On the day of my Baptism, I found a beautiful metal rosary at work (I call it my Baptism gift from God) I keep it in my Truck.
  4. My ex girlfriend gave me a beautiful high end rosary, blessed by The Pope, for my birthday. I believe she ordered it from The Vatican’s website.
 
I get them for free at church all the time, and I (somehow) managed to save my rosaries from CCD all these years.
So I said six or more. 😃
 
hmmm I think? its over 50 but wont commit to that number. I use to catch them on ebay by the lot where its just a mix bag of “stuff” pins, cards etc and of course loads of rosary’s! Some need fixing but not always…I have 1 main I pray with daily, 1 in the storm cellar, 1 in each bathroom, 4 in my purse, 1 by the bed…just everywhere! 😉

I did put a bunch in a bag type purse and had them blessed. I also have some more odd"sh? ones…1 for the “stations of the cross” rosary (I don’t think chaplet would be fitting name cause its BIG! Long!) its the 15 stations then 3 beads, then 6 sets of the 3 beads.

1 for the “7 Dolors” and 1 on the way now supposedly for the unborn children but I cant find it listed anywhere to see what the proper way to pray this one is. 6 sets of 5 beads followed by 3 beads…I will see when it gets here I suppose.

Also have bags of crucifixes’, centers , beads, and/or twine etc to make more. You can never have enough rosaries…ever. 😃
 
I know I really only need one, but somehow I have accumulated quite a few. I have rosaries that belonged to each of my late grandmothers. I have a World Missions rosary that came from the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. I have one that starts out with black beads and slowly transitions to white, meant to be used to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. My daily carry was obtained from a Carmelite convent that makes rosaries, chaplets, etc. to support itself.

I would love to learn to make the chain ones. But I’m nervous about messing up, as I have never been good with my hands.

Just one. I bought it for myself when I was in catechism classes earlier this year. I haven’t received any as gifts, and I am not sure how people keep getting on the mailing lists they talk about which keep sending them free ones. I’d love to be on those kinds of mailing lists. I plan on eventually getting a Franciscan crown rosary, and I may eventually learn how to make rosaries. I love doing beading.
 
Right now, I have two. One is a string and plastic one I belive my mother was given when she was seriously ill. the second set I recently rebuilt…after my parents died I found just the crucifix in a box of costume jewelry, I remembered an uncle getting it from Rome in the early 60’s (he flew for TWA). I can’t remember what happened to the beads part, but the crucifix was always special (it had a compartment with dirt from the San Calliste catacombs in it). Anyway, i’ve been a lapsed catholic for the past twenty years (some being dislike of the church scandals, but mostly just a lot of laziness-we have no children so just slipped away) , but recently decided just being ‘spiritual’ was not enough, so I (and my wife) returned to church. I started finger counting the rosary, then remembered the crucifix. It took a good two weeks to find it (safely wrapped in a drawr with my confirmation new testament! My wife makes jewelry, so one afternoon I took about two hours to put together a rosary that I could really use…nice big our Father beads, well spaced hail Mary beads, and even added extra metal beads in the Glory Be spaces! i’ve used it daily for the past six weeks and can’t believe the comfort using it brings. as the closing prayers for the rosary say, it has truly brought me back to my faith! I’ve helped my wife put together a wrap rosary bracelet, and we plan to make several more. It just feels right, if you know what I mean.
