I wear two saint medals every day. Saint Anthony and my Italian horn charm on one chain and Saint Christopher on a separate one. Is it wrong to wear both of them at the same time?

Tis_Bearself thanks for telling me, just wanted to know if it was wrong or not.

What is an Italian horn charm @Tony_Lorenzo_Luciano?

its something Italians and Sicilians wear to represent their heritage.

@Tony_Lorenzo_Luciano: Welcome to the forum and God bless you.

Wear as many as you want. I would never wear more than one due to the risk of scratching.

An itailian horn represents protection against the evil wishes that people may bestow on you. Best to wear a st Benedicts medal or st Benedict crucifix as an italian horn is supertition. It looks like a devil horn and supposedly throws the evil wishes back to the person making them.

The Italian horn is nothing more than superstition … it should not be worn with medals of saints.

i only wear it to represent my Italian heritage i don’t’ believe all that other stuff

I guess I am missing how the Italian horn represents your Italian heritage. I don’t even know what a devil horn would look like.

I agree with Katherine438, in my opinion, it should not be worn with Catholic medals or even a crucifix.
a crucifix.

An Italian horn is worn by many men of Italian descent nowadays as an expression of their cultural heritage, as the OP said he wore it. It is not a superstitious thing. Perhaps 150 years ago it was, but it isn’t now.

OP, maybe you want to put your horn on a different chain from the medals just to remove all doubt, but I don’t think you need to stop wearing the horn if it’s just for cultural reasons. If you said you were wearing it for protection against evil, I would say take it off.

PS. If you are in doubt, ask your priest…preferably a priest who is Italian.

I’m not one for posting selfies so here’s the medals etc that I have with my Byzantine crucifix: Holy Face of Jesus, Miraculous Medal, St. Michael/Guardian Angel (it’s 2-sided), the Little Gospel of the Circumcision and a relic of St. Margaret Mary that was given to me as a gift.
