I wear two saint medals every day. Saint Anthony and my Italian horn charm on one chain and Saint Christopher on a separate one. Is it wrong to wear both of them at the same time?
Just be careful not to cross the streams.

That picture reminds me of a man I worked with many years ago who was a sort of “born again Catholic” and wore so many religious medals he jingled when he walked. He probably had like a dozen of them on. I made a remark about the jingling once and he got angry at me. In hindsight I realize now (I didn’t then) that he was associated with a group of local sisters who worked with at-risk youth, he probably had some kind of a bad past and the medals were important to him in trying to stay on the straight and narrow and keep a decent job.

So if somebody has what looks like an excessive amount of medals on, it may be because they feel they need that much help.

Even if you don’t believe in that stuff it’s not right to be wearing that Italian horn.

I think it’s really inappropriate that a guy came on here to ask a question about saint medals and it’s turned into people piling on him for another jewelry item he wears that wasn’t even the subject of his question.

Italian Catholic men I know were often gifted those horns by Italian Catholic family as a reminder of their Italian heritage. I wouldn’t feel very kindly towards a bunch of strangers telling me that my uncle’s gift, or a family heirloom, that is worn with no superstition, is somehow occult and bad, especially when that wasn’t even the question.

that’s right my cousins and my uncle Lorenzo where all gifted that when they turned a certain age, it has nothing to to with superstition, just culture.

I was told by a retreat master priest that the Italian horn was superstition and should not be used. There is nothing holy about it. (I am of Cicilian descent, my parents were born here.)

I never saw the “horns” growing up, except on a sister-in-law of my Dad, and she said it was a gift to her from her daughter-in-law.

Yes. They are gifted as well as St. Anthony medals.
I am 1/2 italian and my dh is full. They are prevalent in Italian neighborhoods and families.
Ps no one would guess your heritage by your name. lol.
As for saint medals they are on a different level.

This is not a saint medal and no one is piling on…that was the question.

Wear as many as you want. I already wear several and I am hoping to get some more.
