How many scriptures have been officially interpretted by the magisterium?
what do you mean read the magisterium?I say read the magisterium.
ALL Scripture referenced is an interpretation in itself.

I’ve never heard any specific number. One reason is, Scripture often has many meanings, not a single interpretation for any given verse. To say a verse means only one thing is limiting the Word of God. One thing you may be confusing is when the Church corrects an incorrect interpretation, for example many of MLs interpretations of the writings of Paul. The Church corrected his errors. That’s not the same as interpreting a verse, it’s correcting an incorrect interpretation.I heard there were only 8 infallibly interpretted…Could that be?
So they not afraid to say whats wrong, they’re only afraid to say whats right?I’ve never heard any specific number. LOL, it has nothing to do with being afraid, as you well know… LOLSo they not afraid to say whats wrong, they’re only afraid to say whats right?
So is scripture worthless if we are unable to interpret it ourselvesLOL, it has nothing to do with being afraid, as you well know… LOL
The Church is led to all truth by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit isn’t kept in a little room and called on to answer questions! The Holy Spirit doesn’t answer to man, man answers to Him! We cannot demand the Holy Spirit teach us the meaning of any given verse. The Holy Spirit can and does, lead the Church to correct errors. You want direct answers to a specific verse, demand it of God, He hasn’t revealed it to the Church, and the Church won’t “make things up” for your pleasure. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way.
Again, no verse of Scripture is limited to any single meaning. Why would you demand it be interpreted?
In the second chapter of the second epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians, Paul is calming those brothers and sisters who have been taught an incorrect gospel. They had been told, incorrectly, that the second coming of Christ was at hand. They are terrified, and Paul is consoling them.Okay here is a good example and one that is used frequently by catholics…2 thess 2:15
Is it referenced? and if so how does Rome interpret it?
Because I see catholics continually use it in support of “tradition”
Which to me denies the suffiency of the Holy scriptures.
You really think Scripture is worthless? I know you’re baiting. So is scripture worthless if we are unable to interpret it ourselves
Though Paul was not saying, ‘Hold to Scripture and some oral component.’ In context, his meaning is much simpler. When you read the preceding verses, and take into account the context,In the second chapter of the second epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians, Paul is calming those brothers and sisters who have been taught an incorrect gospel. .
Only if you demand we need a higher authority outside of the HS to interpret them…You really think Scripture is worthless? I know you’re baiting.
Paul is saying hold to the traditions he and the Church pass on, oral and written. Sorry it doesn’t agree with your theology, but it is plain and simple, no need to strain any gnats.Though Paul was not saying, ‘Hold to Scripture and some oral component.’ In context, his meaning is much simpler. When you read the preceding verses, and take into account the context,
The context is the first chapter, as I said. They were being taught a different gospel, and were terrified by it. Paul isn’t replacing the oral traditions with a written tradition, as you’re implying. He clearly says follow both, but only the traditions, both written and oral, of His Church, not others, Luther, Calvin, Zwigly,Paul’s meaning is simple. Paul had preached the gospel to the Thessalonians in person. He was now writing to them. He has just noted the gospel, and he is saying, ‘Hold to the body of teaching, i.e., the gospel, that I have delivered to you, both in person and by letter.’ The letter, of course, was what we call 1 Thessalonians. The content is the gospel.
Again, a different gospel than Paul taught, heck even different from what he wrote! If you’re going to say written Scripture only, at least follow the written Scripture. You can’t have it both ways.We are to hold to the faith, the gospel of Jesus Christ, which the Thessalonian believers were privileged to learn, at that unique time of apostolic ministry, both from an apostle (Paul), and from a letter directly from him.

It would seem many have not listened to our first Pope.15 And account the longsuffering of our Lord, salvation; as also our most dear brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are certain things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 You therefore, brethren, knowing these things before, take heed, lest being led aside by the error of the unwise, you fall from your own steadfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and unto the day of eternity. Amen.
What “gotcha” are you setting up here? Why not just get right to it so people don’t waste their time trying to answer a question that’s just bait for your real point. How many scriptures have been officially interpretted by the magisterium?
