Some weeks you might go to mass more or less than usual (eg, because of an extra holy day of obligation, or because of sickness). However, this poll is asking, on a usual week, how many times would you go to mass?

Note - this is an anonymous poll, so please don’t be afraid to be honest in your voting (eg, some people might be afraid to say that they don’t go regularly because others might look down on them. Ohter people might be afraid to put ‘more than 7’ times per week because they are worried about being boastful. Well, no-one except for God will see what you voted for, so don’t worry too much).

This is mostly for statistical interest, take from it what you like.

(In case anyone came to this thread looking for the Church teaching on how many times a week we need to go - The Church teaches that you must go to mass at least once a week, either on Sunday or on the Saturday vigil. You must also go on holy days of obligation, such as Christmas - this year it falls on a Sunday anyway, but other years you would go to one extra mass, on Christmas day or eve).

Twice a week–Sunday and Wednesday. Sometimes I’ll get in an extra day a week, depends on my work schedule.

I can go daily now. I am retired and don’t have the responsibility of caring for anyone. There are many others like myself there and we have formed community and pray for one another and visit them in hospitals when the need arises.

When my children were small and not in school I would attempt to go to one weekday mass a week. It was difficult though, and I decided to wait until they were in school and started to go more often then.

The Mass is the central act of worship in our faith, and I highly recommend those who are able to attend more than once a week.

Currently, only on Sunday (actually Saturday Evening). I plan on going more.

2-3 weekend Masses, usually the school Mass during the week and at least once for funerals or other reasons. don’t attend the daily Mass because it is too early in the morning, I live to far to drive back home, and it would mean a 14 hour work day most days of the week, which I can’t hack anymore. Also I travel to the basilica of Our Lady of San Juan where our mid-valley pastoral center is located, at least once a week, and try to time my trip to make Mass.

I always go to mass on Sunday morning, and if I oversleep then I go to Sunday evening mass. Regardless of any obstacles, whether it’s work, T.V, school, pleasures, I always make time for church on Sunday.

I know I’ll receive a emptyness in my soul, or some sort of guilt if I miss.

Unfortunately my church doesn’t offer daily Mass on Saturdays (only the Sunday vigil) except on First Saturdays. So I usually go to Mass every day but Sat. unless we’re visiting another church or it’s 1st Saturday. My hubby goes twice a week, but would go every day if his work schedule would permit.

There are some wonderfully kind ladies who give my son and me rides four times a week so that we can attend Mass. Their help is tremendously appreciated and I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to bring someone to Mass, to do it! 👍

I’ve been cantoring two masses a week, more if there are holy days in between.

Would go to Mass every day if I were able…:yup:
Me too – I subscribe to Magnificat and read that every morning.

I go to Mass before I attend my 12 Step meetings…and I go to three to four 12 Step meetings a week.

Dear friend

Daily if that is possible

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

In addition to Sunday Mass, I average about 4 daily Masses per week, so a total of 5.

Funny how the top two vote getters are once and six-seven. I have a theory as to why. Presently I am a once/twice. But I strongly suspect I will be a six/seven after retirement. I look forward to it.

My preference would be to go each weekday and once on the weekend which would equate to six days a week. I feel impelled to do this unless physical exhaustion prevents me. I work a night shift now so going to daily mass at noon is not always feasible for me. Unfortunately there’s a church close to where I work that has morning mass at seven o’clock, a half-hour before my night shift ends. It’s too bad because going to morning mass after work would’ve been perfect. As of now, I go to daily mass when I have sufficient energy for it.
