How many times can I pray the Rosary a day? Is it for each prayer?

I have just recently started praying the Rosary, and I am still just trying to understand how it all works out. Can I pray the Rosary 2 times in a row, with different prayers? Like last night I prayed the Rosary twice in a row because I had two different things I wanted to pray for. That is how it is supposed to be done, right? Can I pray for two different things but during the same Rosary? Thank you!🙂
 
From what i was thought, once a day should be enough. There are five sections “misterios” i dont know how to say in english, During each one you can pray for different things, not necessarily one whole rosary for one single thing, Although i dont see nothing wrong with that and would probably be even better.
 
You can pray for all of your intentions with one rosary, but if you feel compelled to pray it more than once a day, that is absolutely fine 🙂
 
I’ve never heard of an issue with praying too much - the Rosary is one of the most beautiful tools for a healthy and blessed prayer life that we have. So if you want to dedicate an entire rosary to each intention, then by all means, let no one stop you. However, it is entirely sufficient to enumerate your petitions and then pray the Rosary. I, personally, prefer to have one petition for each decade/mystery, and reflect on it during those prayers in the decade, but that is just me.

Also, after the Rosary, please pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, and 1 Glory Be (Doxology) for the intentions of the Holy Father.
 
You may pray for as many intentions as you have, and you may certainly pray the rosary more than once in a day. Once daily is what Our Lady has requested of us, and if you can develop that daily devotion to the rosary, you will otain so many blessings for yourself and those for whom you pray. God bless.

You can pray as many times as you want.

Sometimes I pray for the Holy souls in Purgatory and the conversion of sinners in the same Rosary.

You can never say “Jesus, I love You” too many times.
 
I recall my mom telling me that Bl. John Paul II prayed all four different mysteries every day. Of course, he was Pope at the time and much if not all of his time was spent in prayer, but it would be totally fine to pray the Rosary more than once a day. I remember one time I prayed the Rosary three times one Saturday. Once really early in the morning for my cousin, another for a friend’s grandfather in the afternoon, then one that night with the rest of my family.

So, there is no limit to the number of times you can pray it.
 
There are 20 decades in the complete rosary. Each set of 5 decades are called Mysteries. They are Joyful Mysteries, Sorrowful Mysteries, Glorious Mysteries and the Luminuous Mysteries.

According to the Church they say the rosary in the following sequence saying 1 set of mysteries (5 decades) on the specific days:
Monday & Saturday - Joyful Mysteries
Tuesday & Fridays - Sorrowful Mysteries
Wednesdays & Sundays - Glorious Mysteries
Thursdays - Luminous Mysteries

There is no limit to what you pray. some people pray the full rosary each day and some pray the set mysteries for that day.

Agreed with the last sentence but let’s not exaggerate here! It takes me 15 minutes to pray 5 decades and I pray quite fast. Times that by 3 and it’s 45 minutes - times that by 35 and we have 26.25 hours of Rosary praying in a 24 hour period. Per day I don’t think so 😊
 
No limit whatsoever. The more the better! I’ve tried saying all fifteen mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary spread out over three chaplets a day before… but I only managed it for about 3 or 4 days!

I wasn’t exaggerating… that statement came from a Padre Pio site. That is why I quoted it. I guess I should have added the link, too. I usually spend about 10 minutes when praying the Rosary (five decades)… but I say it is Latin, which is a little quicker for me. If I spend additional time focused on the mysteries than it takes a little longer.

Ah, well then I apologize for saying you exaggerated. That website is exaggerating. Even if it took him 10 minutes per 5 decade [which would be rushing slightly] that’s 30 minutes per 15 decade. Which adds up to just under 18 hours per day. More believable [since the math actually works here] but still unbelievable I think 🙂

Padre Pio prayed the Rosary every waking hour while doing other things, he also bilocated and did many other unbelievable things, it was miraculous to be sure, but our Faith is built on miracles is it not.
 
Pray the Rosary as often as you have the time for, for as many intentions as you like… but don’t become scrupulous about it, or obsessive, or superstitious, neglectful of the rest of your life.

If you genuinely have the time or can make the time to pray all 20 decades daily, that’s great. If you give up TV time or gaming time for it, great. But some people do get obsessive about it… like, “Oh no, I slipped on on one word, I have to restart the whole thing!” or “if I don’t pray 200 decades today I’ll go to hell!” or neglecting their legitimate responsibilities to pray the Rosary. So just watch for that if you start feeling compelled to pray more and more.

I know a counselor (a Christian) who ended up banning prayer in the sessions with one particular client. This was when it became evident that in that setting for that one client, stopping and praying was a way of avoiding painful but necessary therapeutic work. The counselor said, “I’ll pray for you but we can’t pray in session anymore.” They actually made progress after that.
 
I remember reading what a priest had wrote about Padre Pio. If he could recite over a hundred rosaries a day, what must have been our Blessed Mother’s capacity for prayer?

Also Padre Pio only slept a few hours a night and lived off only a few hundred calories a day. His very body was supernaturally nourished.
 
Yes you can. I pray the rosary three times a day, morning, noon, night.

It is a beautiful and efficacious prayer.

St. Padre Pio said his rosary 17 times a day 🙂

Thanks for praying for the conversion of sinner…that’s probably why I came back to the church. People such as yourself offering those prayers make a difference.

That being said I pray it at least once a day, but if I’m in meditation and/or adoration of the Blessed Sacrament I try to pray it through twice. I also pray the Chaplet for Divine Mercy daily as well.
