Well I remeber in an ency. of JP II that said that the church couldn’t change the issue of women ordination. But, I would assume that the no fish on friday can be. I would simply like to to have a more difined peramiters of the churchs binding and loosing. (for my own benifiet and when others ask).

The women and ordination issue is Tradition. The meat on Fridays issue is tradition.

Teachings that are considered Dogma are Traditions, i.e. Real Presence, Assumption of Mary, etc.

Teachings that are considered disciplines are traditions, i.e. priestly celebacy, receiving communion under both species, etc.

2. Forgive and retain sins.
3. Make Disciples or canon laws.
