How much do you LOVE Jesus?

I remember about a half a year ago, I realized I think that I was almost taking Jesus for granted! I prayed to Him, “Oh Jesus! PLEASE don’t let me take you for granted! Let me know that You truly are here!” and stuff like that. I realized that taking Him for granted, that I didn’t have love for Him like I wanted to.😦

Then another question came to my mind: do I love Jesus? If yes, how much? If I do, am I willing to die for Him (meaning persecution or else)? Am I willing to lose friends and be ridiculed for the sake of Him? Am I willing to follow Him? Do I pray to Him EVERY SINGLE day? Do I think about Him constantly? Do I attend Mass every weekend or even everyday?

See, these questions were questions to ponder as to how much we love our Lord. I mean, sure you can mouth the words without doing the above…that can tell you how much you love Him. http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/31.gifIf that’s the case, that’s lukewarm! Don’t want lukewarm!

I LOVE our Lord sooooo much! I am willing to DIE for Him! I wish I was with Him in Heaven!http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/04.gif And sometimes, I LONG for Him sooo much that I even cry! But I know He has a plan for me here on earth and I must do His will, not my own.

Stupid Question Alert: How do you love Jesus? I’m a natural born scientist ie. skeptic. I was raised that way as well, to analyze everything and to not believe something unless there is proof. This has been both a saving grace for me, but also a hinderance, especially with religion/spirituality/loving God. I just can’t seem to do it and when i try, I seem phony. So how did you learn to love Jesus, Paris? I’d really like to know because I want to be devout, I want to live a religious life because it seems so fulfilling but I don’t know how…
