How much are the abortion mills making? Whats even more important is I realized that I had never heard how much they actually charge per abortion. These wicked people are clearly doing this for money (and population control) yet this money factor is usually kept quiet. This financial aspect is even more interesting considering they want to make taxes go to pay for abortions under the cover of “healthcare” options.

I have been looking around on pages like plannedparenthood but cant find what they charge.

This is a total guess but I think its about $200 per abortion?

Catholics need to be informed about this information so we can use it to further expose the culture of death. If the rates are in the hundreds and the average person on the street knew the rates they would easily see these “doctors” are not doing it out of care for the woman but because of greed.

Please list official rates you have seen either on official big name abortion pages or in real life situtations.

I think it depends on the trimester. For first trimester, I think it is only a few hundred bucks. Later on, as the baby gets bigger (and harder to murder), it costs more because the procedure to induce an abortion is more complicated.

Page 2 on the following pdf document makes mention of how much money Planned Parenthood generates off abortion: nrlc.org/factsheets/FS09_TheBasics.pdf If you read the fine print, it makes mention of the costs used to calculate the revenue projections.

It varies significantly from place to place and is also based on gestation.

According to the Guttenmacher Institute (Planned Parenthood’s “research” institute) the average cost of a surgical abortion up to 10 weeks is $372 (in 2001) and for a medical abortion (RU486) it was $487 (in 2001). At later gestation the price increases upwards of $1000.

You would have to call individual abortion businesses in your city and ask them their price to get an accurate price locally.

NJ Planned Parenthood Mercer Area…Both surgical and medical abortions cost $410

Its good to see there are informed people out there…anyway…the numbers ARE worse than I thought.
I see no less than $375
Thats easily a multi hundred million dollar industry, it looks like there are pro-life groups who have already the math, the nrlc.org pdf link says its no less than $400M industry overall and of that chunk $95M per year for planned parenthood alone!

In NZ abortion is still a crime except in certain cases. In reality the ‘doctors’ pretty much rubber stamp all abortions under the provision for damage to the mental health of the mother.

Some idiot wants the law scrapped so the poor ‘doctors’ don’t have to continue violating their consciences by lying about the reason for the abortion.

Just think…we have doctors who lie in order to collect millions of dollars, and they are accepted as respectable instead of being condemned by others in their profession.

Your soul.
:amen:
This and the cost of another innocent soul…
Yes abortion is big industry, otherwise it wouldn’t be an issue. It just irritates me to see young women exploited and innocent children killed for a buck.

If you search through the documents/online, you can find an official planned parenthood source.

Planned parenthood has to publish its fiscal earnings.

For 2004-2005:

According to its annual report, Planned Parenthood received $272.2 million dollars in taxpayer money under Title X. Additionally, Planned Parenthood’s annual report indicates 2004-2005 Fiscal Year earnings of more than $882 million.

Abortion is big business.

Your soul.
Scary but true.

Do you have a link for this? And what is Title X?

Even though a lot of pro-abortion people turn their noses up at the idea, it looks like adoption really is the least costly option for both the pregnant woman and the unborn child.

This information is Planned Parenthood’s.

Here is 2003-2004:

plannedparenthoodrx.com/annualreport/report-04.pdf

I do not have 2004-2005 in a pdf or link as this information was talked about with papers from PP. But maybe if you google around you can find them. I checked a bit but didn’t see it.

You can also research by each individual abortion clinic, for example, waterloo:

ppwr.on.ca/AnnualReport2006.pdf

CNS reports on PP’s business plan:

From a prolife source, but just included here for interest regarding PP’s way of business:

Title X is a federal program that began in 1970. It provides government money for reproductive needs of poor women. Planned Parenthood gets a big helping of the handout from Title X.

Here is a prolife site with information. There are also numerous other sites available without a prolife stance (for example legal documents):

Here is the info from the webpage of Pilgrim Medical Center in Montclair NJ. – wonder how many “creative writing” classes one has to take to be able to phrase “murder” in such everyday terms…😦
Abortion procedures at Pilgrim are separated into five categories as follows:
1: Non-Surgical Abortion; $330:
Conception to 7 weeks 6 days. This procedure is performed using a method in which methotrexate is injected. This procedure, in our opinion, is superior to misoproxial (commonly known as RU486) because it will also eliminate an ectopic pregnancy. The patient should understand that at this early stage of pregnancy one cannot be totally sure that the pregnancy is in the uterus and not in the fallopian tube. This includes all blood work, ultrasound, rhogam (if needed), all necessary medications, and a mandatory post-operative visit to ensure success. At your post-operative visit, birth control will be instituted and samples will be provided at no additional cost to you.
2: D & C; $360: **
Conception to 14 weeks. This procedure is a minor surgical procedure in which the pregnancy is removed using the suction curretage method. This includes all blood work, ultrasound, anesthesia, surgery, and all necessary medications. Most patients seen at Pilgrim are referred from private physicians who prefer to have their patients taken care of by us. For this reason we do not recommend a mandatory post-operative visit. However, if you do not have a private physician, Pilgrim offers this service (a post-operative visit) for a fee of $35. This visit includes initiation of birth control and samples, and any basic medication that may be needed by the patient.
**
3: D & E; $580:

14 weeks 1 day to 16 weeks. This procedure is a minor surgical procedure which requires greater technique on the part of our doctor and staff.
**
4: Laminaria I; $860: **
16 weeks 1 day to 19 weeks. This procedure is a minor surgical procedure which requires expert technique on the part of our doctor and staff. It should be noted that at most facilities this procedure is performed over 2 or more days. At Pilgrim, this is a one day procedure.
5: Laminaria II; $960:
19 weeks 1 day to 20 weeks 6 days. This procedure is a minor surgical procedure which requires extreme expert technique on the part of our doctor and staff. It should be understood that procedures of this magnitude can only be done by physicians who are licensed by the Board of Health to do so. Facilities that perform these procedures are under strict scrutiny by the Board of Health and by the Board of Medical Examiners of NJ. Our physician has achieved a superior level of expertise in this area.
For pricing of all other gynecological procedures please call our facility. All fees are subject to change without notice.
