How necessary is it to pray the Rosary and how well should I pray it?

Your prayers will reach Mary and thus God even if you are distracted. Do not worry. Our Queen is ALWAYS happy if you pray with her. Maybe she will help you even more if you are having trouble praying!
 
The Rosary really works as a great meditative prayer for me. I say it early in the morning; otherwise I might not get to it. It takes me a long time (25 minutes-30 minutes) because of my meditations.
But the Rosary isn’t everyone’s favorite prayer. Take heart from someone like St. Therese the “Little Flower” who stated that while she loved Mary she was dismayed that she kept falling asleep when praying the Rosary.
I suppose anything worth doing it worth doing badly 😁 But I’d suggest committing to just one decade said well, and seeing whether you can add more down the road. I don’t think distracted prayers honor God much.
