Is it possible to confess more than once a week? Every time i look for the confession times at a church its always for a couple of hours on a Saturday…which is hard for me to make, due to work…it seems no one has confession on a tuesday…

As has been said, one can go to confession as much as is necessary and prudent, according to the direction of his confessor or spiritual director. Many parishes only schedule confessions for a day a week, but they also allow you to call the pastor and schedule an appointment anytime for confession.

If you find yourself having to make up sins…you’re going too often.

😉
I once heard a story [don’t know if it was true or urban legend] of a little old lady who would stand on the church steps each Saturday and shout “D–n”; so that she had something to confess when she went in. 😃

you can make an appointment.

Plenty of people in my Parish go every day at weekday Mass.
Weekly is not even close to “too often”
The more the merrier.

Not necessarily. Please see my earlier post:
That’s a matter for you to discuss with your confessor or spiritual director. Some people can go more often than others, and some should actually be encouraged to go less often. A balance has to be maintained between laxity (wherein one is relatively inattentive to his sins and thus rarely goes to confession, if at all) and scrupulosity (wherein one is overattentive to sins–even to the point of thinking that everything is sinful, and thus might be going far too often). I would ask your priest.

I’m trying to go once a month. We recently had Priest & Parish shuffle. My favorite priest has been transferred to a parish 2 hours to the east. So I’m back to looking for good confessor. 😦
I’m currently reading a book called “Frequent Confession” that talks about the ways to utilize the sacrament of penance to grow in holiness and sanctity. So far it’s pretty good.
I’m so glad to hear, you’re liking this book. It’s in my TBR (To Be Read) pile. I’ll move it up in the lineup. 🙂

I have no advice to give you except now we have 2 turtles on the forum! 😃

Actually, if you go to Mass everyday, your venial sins are forgiven. I would try that first before I try to go to Confession everyday. When you wake up in the morning, ask God to help you to avoid specific sins you know you are having trouble with-that goes along way!

Oh the reason I chose my name is because my niece goes around the house going “Turtle Turtle.” When I was registering, I asked her what she thought my name should be, and she giggled and yelled out “Turtle Turtle” and so it stuck. 😃

I did not know there was already a Turtle on the forum, but two turtles are better than one. 😛
