How often do you do it

i prayed 2 chaplets of divine mercy the other day for the first time in years (maybe it has something to do with me just getting a blessed green scapular that day and wearing it)

anyway i had no trouble remembering the words of the prayers because i still have them memorised from years ago (memory is a really funny thing huh?)

i had a terrible time trying to concentrate on the prayers my mind wandered around something terrible…and when i was ware that i was becoming distracted i brought my mind back to the prayers…

anyway i was just wanting some advice

how long does it take you to say a chaplet of divine mercy?
do you say it slowly or fast?
do you try to think of anything while praying it…or do you just concentrate on the words of the prayers?
how many chaplets do you say a day?

i would love to get back in to saying the chaplet of divine mercy because i love the divine mercy devotion…it was the divine mercy picture that drew me to the devotion years ago…i loved it from the first time i saw it (although i didn’t understand what the picture was about until sometime later)…
and i would love to say it and offer it for all the intentions i pray for…

I haven’t prayed this devotion in some time now, probably over a year. I should do it more often. But as far as I can remember it doesn’t take much time at all. I’m guessing only 5 minutes or so, maybe even less.

You say your mind wandered to something terrible. I usually think of terrible things during the chaplet because that is why I am praying for mercy. Usually abortionists and those they exploit come to mind. But many other bad things rise to the top of my mind. Blasphemy, injustice, fornication, etc. All things that require mercy on us and the whole world.

It takes me about 15 minutes to say the Chaplet and prayers.
I say it a normal talking speed, but it takes longer if sung.
Yes, I meditate on the passion. Most times, I’m in the garden, but I’m working towards deeper thought of the crucifixion.
Oddly, I find myself waking from sleep at night and say it as I fall back to sleep. I wake every couple of hours at night.

depends on if I am singing it or saying it. I get too out of breath to sing while walking, but it is one devotion that really does seem to work better sung rather than spoken.
