How often do you go to confession?

Basic question, how often do you attend confession ?
 
On average every 4-6 weeks.

Sometimes I will go more often, but it has happened a few times that I couldn’t make it for a couple of months or so.
 
I used to go once during each liturgical season, but lately it has been about once every 3-4 weeks, as I have become increasingly aware of my sins. I actually went three times in Lent, because a number of things happened that made it clear to me what a prideful jerk I actually am.
 
Weekly. I figure if I’m entrusted with the authority to deal with the grave sins of others then I should be submitting myself regularly to my confessor to rid myself of my venial sins. Plus the extra graces are quite helpful.
 
I wish I was at the point where I could have a schedule. When my addiction isn’t kicking in, once every 2 weeks. When it is, it could be as high as 3 times a week! I know. Needless to say I know the Diocese’s entire confession schedule for every church that has mid-week Confession!

…Betcha I’m more prideful! :D:D

I go every 6-8 weeks, and DRAG my teenagers with me.
 
I find this an interesting thread, confessoin is part of my study right now and I do wonder about how often.
If bad thoughts need to be confessed I would say weekly…at least lol
I have them pop up out of nowhere all the time.
I immediatly ask God to forgive me but do each and every one of those need to be confessed?

I am not talking about considering murder or anything but a judgemental thought about my neighbor or something similar.

Any help?
 
Ha! I’m new on the Forum. But, I’d say I go to confession about once every 2 weeks, whether I need to or not. Sometimes more often, depending on how aware I am of my sins.
 
I probably go to confession every two months or so. More, if really needed!

I asked a priest this lately. He said, write them down on a separate piece of paper and make sure they do not fall into the wrong hands. Then confess every single venial sin each week in order to grow in holiness. Then destroy your piece of paper. The sins you mention are venial. God bless 🙂

As often as I need it, which seems to be, at most, every 3 weeks. I went over 20 years without confessing, though. Even over the last 15 years, my confession was sporadic. I am making a concerted effort to participate in ALL of our sacraments on a more frequent basis, since I am also petitioning heaven for my husband to return to the Church with all his heart.

I used to sin all the time, and hardly notice it. Now, I am very uncomfortable with any sins, but in pain with a mortal until I can get to confession. I am begging God for mercy until I can confess my sin.

I think the more, the better, when it comes to confession. Being more aware of my tendency to sin has done nothing but improve me overall.
 
I don’t like to go, so I go often 😃

About every week or two. It’s much harder for me if I go every 4-8 weeks.
