How often do you go to confession?
Now I’m puzzled. It’s an anonymous poll and you don’t have to answer it. Now, if I asked you what was the most serious sin you ever committed…just like taking a bath, whenever I need it. we have this poll about once a month, and IMO it is still asking personal questions in areas that are banned.
Sorry, haven’t been to the forums for awhile. Do you remember the results from previous polls? Just curious.…we have this poll about once a month…
I try to go once per month…more during Lent and Advent. I have grown to adore this Sacrament…next to the Eucharist, it’s Jesus’ greatest gift to us. :yup:How often do you go to confession?
If those “imperfections” include a lack of charity in any sense God does mind. But that is not for me to judge. No one hates sin more than God and our human condition is weak and the temptations are numerous.I am in the habit of actively avoiding sin and making sure to do what God wants.I examine my conscince every day, and usually have not sinned.I commit hundreds of imperfections, but that doesnt really matter, because **they’re not sins and God doesnt mind.**I go to Confession usually once a year, at Easter. If I commit a sin, I would go and confess it as soon as possible.I hate sin.
No need to put “Usually twice a week…![]()
For no particular reason I’d like to recommend the following passage to you. **1John 1:8-10 **This may help with future considerations. Or not. I am with you there - doing the examination of conscience daily and usually don’t feel I have sinned. However, I go to confession every time I meet my spiritual director. Confession helps our working toward holiness. We are not required to confess venial sins or imperfection; however, encouraged to do so. God said we should be perfect because He is perfect. Though perfection belongs to next life, it is good to strive for it. And frequent confession helps this strive.I am in the habit of actively avoiding sin and making sure to do what God wants.I examine my conscince every day, and usually have not sinned.I commit hundreds of imperfections, but that doesnt really matter, because they’re not sins and God doesnt mind.I go to Confession usually once a year, at Easter. If I commit a sin, I would go and confess it as soon as possible.I hate sin.
WOW! Another person who doesn’t sin. I wish that I could hang around all of you who live these perfect lives. I definitely could learn something. As hard as I try, I do sin daily. Even if it is minimal, I do sin and I recognize my sins so as to tell God that I am sorry. But for you guys to never even have a minimally negative thought about someone or to always love absolutely everyone as you would love Jesus is quite commendable. And I could only aspire to be like that but the reality for me is that only when I reach heaven will I be sinless…and that’s why Christ came to die for us…teachccdI am with you there - doing the examination of conscience daily and usually don’t feel I have sinned.
