How often do you read the Bible?

I normally read something from Scripture daily, either from my Magnificat when I pray or for my Bible Study home assignments. I rarely go a day without reading something from Scripture.

Everyday I read 2 Chapters from the Historical Books, 2 Chapters from the Pslams/Wisdom Books, 2 Chapters from the Prophets, and 2 Chapters from the Epistles/Revelation.

Wow.

Just about every day. I just open up and read a section or two. 80% of the time I read the NT.

Just curious because I have heard from many people that (most) Catholics dont read the Bible regularly…
Everyday and at any point of time. Many Protestants also do not read it. It is a misconception that most Protestants are avid readers of the Bible. Not true.

Awesome! 👍

I’ve read the Bible through three times (3 different translations - Christian Community Bible, Jerusalem Bible and NAB-RE) - each time, it took me roughly a year to do so. I’m on my fourth round with the New Jerusalem now. Daily, yes, but the amount I read varies widely depending on what “cares of the world” I’m caught up in. 😃

I at least try to read the daily mass readings which I often download to my kindle from the usccb website. Actually reading it myself is better but its neat on the sunday mass audio it has music/singing of the psalms.

Don’t know about anybody else but me personally if I skip reading for any length of time I start to fall away. What was it Jesus said about man does not live by bread alone??

Every morning and every night. I also pray the rosary every morning. 🙂

I subscribe to the “Gospels in a Year” and “Catechism in a Year” daily readings from Flocknote. This is the second year they’ve been doing the Catechism (it started on Oct 11, 2012 for the Year of Faith) and the first year for the Gospels (started at the beginning of the 2014 liturgical year).
